ABC - WLS-TV Chicago - 1982 Sign Off

Thank you very much for uploading this. With the American Motors ad in the very beginning of the clip mentioning "now through March 31st" in lower text we can see this sign-off sequence aired sometime in March of 1982 during the timeframe of roughly 3:10am to 3:17am. What a great find!

The sign-off V/O was by Wayne Atkinson. And interesting to see a 1982 dated TV Code, before it was scrapped altogether. Also, WLS was technically Chicago's first AND third commercial television station, its roots not only with the original WBKB (which was on Channel 4), but also WENR-TV which signed on in September of '48. I thought it a shame that WLS never used the Moog SSB as was used by two of its sister stations, WABC-TV New York and KABC-TV Los Angeles.

Also interesting they didn't remind us they're an ABC station like WXYZ in Detroit did.
