We Australians usually have enough sense to take out health insurance so that we can be “medivaced” home. The travel agents offer varies companies and various cover when booking..besides here in Australia we have free Medicare which includes hospitalisation….as well as paid private health care cover from various companies. The mother is okay..but the little boy has severe burns from the tyres, has been operated on and needs more operations for skin grafts.
