I met Donald Sutherland the year "A Dry, White Season" was released. SUCH a powerful movie!! I worked for the radio station in Cincinnati that interviewed him as part of the movie promotion. The Bible was created in 1604. There was no collective of religious writing prior The Bible is just a book of stories. That book is NOT about laws It is about beliefs. By establishing a place in classrooms you force children to absorb religion. I see no reason to have the 10 commandments as an education tool. Separation of church and state has worked for my lifetime. Religion should not be pushed at anyone. It is but another choice we have-like Coke or Pepsi. We are not looking at the same info. The King James Version of the Bible was created in the early part of 1600’s. That seems to be the version of a Bible most reflect on. There have been many bibles and religious writing since the second century. My son-in-law has a doctorate in religion. He believes THE Bible was created for the king to control the masses. Using religion to force other to believe what you expound is cruel and controlling. I reject all religion as it is made up and make believe. Very few facts tell us about the King James Version. Many societies do not have a religion.
