This could work for some and not work for others. There are doctors for it and there are some against it. Medications have more side effects then benefits but people still take them; sometimes they need them to survive. For those who discouraging people to not have colonic done, go fine something better to do. It’s their body. You can’t speak on something you’ve never done or experienced.

I work at a colonic spa , I get these for free . Still never had one though. I’ve heard way too many risks . I have a customer who gets 5 flushes a week, that is sooo bad . Like what is she even flushing out .. good lord .
@jacks1bonnielass3 жыл бұрын
LOL well to be fair IF she suffers from chronic constipation or opioid-induced constipation (like I do), then it’s very possible she doesn’t have ANY normal bowel movements throughout the week. But I get what you’re saying lol 5 is a bit excessive! If I don’t take any laxatives, I will only go on my own once every 7-8 days. By Day 5-6, I’m miserable, don’t want to eat (just drink water & eat maybe two meals of just soup), & I have terrible acne along with it. Definitely considering this especially since the place I’ve checked out has a closed system machine they use! The way I see it is-there’s FAR more risks for me to keep going the way I am without any natural BM’s than to do this. I’ve been this way for nearly 13yrs & I can’t do it anymore, & considering colon cancer runs in my fam? Oh yeah. Def taking the risk lol

Not at all good for the colon, or your gut to have a colonic. Your colon has the perfect mucus in it, to promote the perfect micro biome for U. Your colon does not need to be cleansed, ever. I speak from experience, at the Recommendation of a health practitioner that we knew, a girlfriend and I did a high colonic cleanse, for a few days. Llittle did I know until much later, that both of us had serious negative side effects, in both of our cases it lasted at least a year. And this is that our guts were wrecked. The colonic strips the intestines, higher and lower of all, and I mean all, of the good bacteria. This is not a good thing to do. This has the same affect as taking a long course of antibiotics, that wrecks your gut. All the good bacteria is destroyed. Colonics do the same exact thing. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. It takes a long long time to heal after having a colonic. And much to my surprise, it wasn’t just me.

@GoldenScholars1013 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that that was your experience, as it seems you were ill-advised by your 'health practitioner' ... While all treatments etc. have risk, there are a few things that you've mentioned that seem problematic - "Your colon does not need to be cleansed ever" (Then why does colon cancer exist?) ... "Did a high colonic cleanse, for a few days" (Not sure if those days were consecutive or otherwise, but I would imagine only unique circumstances call for simultaneous treatments) ... "The colonic strips the intestines ... of the good bacteria" (This is why replenishing (via food etc.) is important, if not vital, and probiotics are often recommended) ... Hopefully you recover soon!

Misconception No. 3: The colon needs a good flushing. Colon cleansing is one of the worst things you can do for your colon and long-term health - despite its enduring popularity. At its most benign, colon cleansing is a waste of time and money. Recent studies, however, have revealed how truly detrimental the practice is. In short, you cannot wash away the bad things without washing away the good things; but worse, there are no bad things to wash away. Those toxins and pounds of festering, impacted fecal matter? They don't exist. With each "cleansing," you are flushing away beneficial bacteria and electrolytes. Nearly 1,000 species of bacteria reside in the colon and aid in the final stages of digestion, including water absorption, and the fermentation of fibers and vitamin absorption, particularly vitamins K, B1, B2, B7, and B12. Emergency rooms regularly see patients who have hurt themselves by cleansing. Common side effects are dehydration, rectal perforations, air emboli, blood infections and a loss of the ability to control the muscles of the bowels. There are no toxins in the colon that get absorbed in the blood to cause disease. This theory of autointoxication was proven incorrect more than 100 years ago. These toxins now reside in a virtual form on the Internet on hydrotherapy websites promoting, well, nothing but crap.

@billm55552 жыл бұрын
@@davida7559 Once someone has gotten to the point where they are willing to have a hose flush out their bowels they have probably made other, and wiser, changes in their diet and lifestyle as well. Pooping is good and healthy, colonics can be very counterproductive and can flush past the ICV for some real toxicity problems.
