Online dating can be difficult for the uninitiated. Some basic rules to avoid time wasters and scammers: 1. If there is any reason for a meeting in person to be some way off such as the person being in a far flung part of the world, walk away. 2. If a meeting in person doesn’t happen soon after starting conversation, it probably never will. I think that two refusals/excuses is a good rule of thumb. 3. When chatting online don’t get overly emotionally drawn in. Just talk about the kind of person you are and what you’re looking for - and then either meet in person or not. 4. See “online dating” as a phrase, not a reality. Actual dating only happens in person - and if that isn’t happening, stop contact.

This is probably a little mean spirited but here goes....this is not a particularly attractive woman.....kinda heavy, matronly, frumpy. Women AND MEN need to be honest with themselves.....if a person gets a “like,” a person need to ask themselves....”why would this person be attracted to me....?” I’ve gotten lots of women contacting me....I know that someone that attractive would not typically be attracted to me. Yes, I know...it’s more than just physical attraction but with an initial contact, it is primarily how you look. Be honest with yourself and be smart and you won’t get burned.
@fletchercastoria23383 жыл бұрын
To be sure.....I am an equivalent male who understands.....I’m not nearly attractive enough to be attractive to the so called women who would contact me, therefore the game is up immediately.......women are a somewhat different in that regard but still,.....

Let's not be ignorant. Of course looks matters, if it didn't we wouldn't have a huge beauty industry: cosmetics, high paid models, magazines, movie stars, plastic surgeries, beauty creams, hair colouring products, pills, potions, lotions etc. etc. Women will play up to guys with either lucrative occupations, or wealth. And these wealthy people, will use their wealth to attract the attractive. Men are suckers for looks and young women. Not necessarily a smart choice, but that is their problem and in time they will figure this out. The relationship will be superficial. Wealthy are used to be able to buy what they want, so why not a beautiful person? Some may not like this reality, or think this is right or fair. But life is not "fair". Everybody discriminates in one way or another, even these scammed women/men do. Would any one of them consider going out with an old ugly poor guy/gal? He/she may have a beautiful nice personality, but not be an "engineer". I have a feeling they would not. I am so tired from hearing about these handsome, rich "engineers" or "army officers". Yeah right..rolling my eyeballs. We know old ugly rich guys somehow manage to "attract" young bombshells in their 20's, they know what they are doing. If you like wealth, being taken care of and loved, here is how to do it: Wealth: work, save, save more, sacrifice, do without. At the end of the day you will have a good chunk of coin. If you like Engineers: Go to school and become one yourself. Yeeah, not that easy is it? Pass high school math? Want to be saved? 1/ Read Harlequin novel. 2/ Be prepared, you can save yourself. 3/ Remember everybody else is busy trying to save themselves, including the scammers. Taken care of: How about you take care of yourself? Self care is great care. Love: Why not start withyourself, love yourself, then you don't need these stranger guys "love" so badly. Get out in the real world: look around you, what do you see? Internet can be deceptive, depending on how your brain works. A Harlequin book would have been a better choice, it does not ask you to send money or your entire retirement. Yes, of course I feel sorry/bad for those who have been scammed. But if they have the energy to get that emotionally involved with some "person" on the net, take that energy and go to work and earn, it does not seem too late, lots of energy left, put it to use in a productive way honest way. The harder you have to work for your money, the more you value it, and are less likely to give it away just like that.
