And then the cops tackle one of the many drivers hit once they have this maniac surrounded?! Why the standoff at the gas station? This is exactly when deadly force is called for. How many innocent people are treated with deadly force or have been killed, yet this psycho is calmly walked to a patrol car & then assessed for injuries? This is madness! I know some hot heads that if they were in that situation white rage would be driving them and they would have went straight and confronted the perpetrator. Cops can't nor should they shoot at tires unless absolutely neccesary, and this situation wasn't one of them heres why; 1. The Bullet could easily miss it's mark (guns aren't as easy to aim as you may think) and ricochet 2. They were in a domestic area with people living in homes at the times he was cornered 3. Shooting a tire mid-pursuit has an incredibly low chance of hitting it's mark, as well as if it DID manage to hit it's mark, the car could spin out of control and hit pedestrians, other cars, a home, etc.
