To the officer who had him blocked in the parking spot early on. You could have prevented all this misery by just pressing on the gas and not giving him space to back out. That's why you have push bars on your cruiser!

Are you effing kidding me?! "That officer has very few options" "No tools at their disposal"?! How about shooting out the tires or throwing down spike strips before the suspect escapes & potentially kills countless innocent people? How does commentator not see the ball of what looks like crack thrown down when the suspect unsuccessfully tries to steal the first car? Did the suspect run over that homeowner's dog? That dude was braver than the trained, bulletproof vest protected jokes in law enforcement. No pit maneuver in the cul-de-sac?! And then the cops tackle one of the many drivers hit once they have this maniac surrounded?! Why the standoff at the gas station? This is exactly when deadly force is called for. How many innocent people are treated with deadly force or have been killed, yet this psycho is calmly walked to a patrol car & then assessed for injuries? This is madness! That final overhead shot though..they must've had every cop on the force out there in addition to fire dept & paramedics..I'm curious how many lives were lost as a result of unanswered 911 calls. Shameful.

@@ScaryClarey Shooting a firearm is considered DEADLY FORCE by the police. They can only open fire when it is justified for the police to take a life otherwise the police can be brought up on charges. This is why they can never just shoot someone in the leg or arm with the intent of injuring them and not killing them because lawyers and prosecutors will have a field day with them in court. Tires also surround a metal wheel (rims) which can cause the bullets to ricochet in any direction killing or seriously hurting people. The only means to take out tires would be with a spike strip.

The work vehicle auto victims all got good amount on go fund me for anything their insurance did not cover and one even used some of it to help another victim whos car got damaged. I do't know if the vehicle insurance that is required to have for all car owners is going to cover the cost of damages but i know the medical aid is very very overpriced there and can be a real long lasting issue for somebody who got in car crash caused by a maniac running from police. How do you know his nose was busted. I didn’t see that. If it was I would consider that he had just been involved in a 2 car collision so I would not think the police caused it. Plus, I would more believe they had to hand cuff the car wreak victim for his own safety. I know some hot heads that if they were in that situation white rage would be driving them and they would have went straight and confronted the perpetrator. Maybe the officers were preventing that from happening. That makes more sense than to believe they pulled a car wreak victim out of a car, injure him and then hand cuff him for jail. Cops can't nor should they shoot at tires unless absolutely neccesary, and this situation wasn't one of them heres why; 1. The Bullet could easily miss it's mark (guns aren't as easy to aim as you may think) and ricochet 2. They were in a domestic area with people living in homes at the times he was cornered 3. Shooting a tire mid-pursuit has an incredibly low chance of hitting it's mark, as well as if it DID manage to hit it's mark, the car could spin out of control and hit pedestrians, other cars, a home, etc.

@Doomguy If you don't understand figurative language, that's on you I suggest reading a little more. The way they treated that guy was surely an issue though can't ignore it.

He can definitely to be a race car driver. The police there in California has their hands tied so much. If he comes into the home here in the south, he would be shot dead already.

I have never seen anything like this 😂 that man went on a high speed cause In a car, had time to get out try to break into a truck, get back in the car and continue the chase, get out and ran through a subdivision, hijacked a van, was blocked in and he still managed to hit him them and maneuver his way out. Got around 4 cars .. Continued the chase. Got out the van and ran again , ran through someone’s home and stole their truck. Then continued the chase …if he hadn’t crashed he would probably still be driving.

The officer on scene at the white van should be held equally liable for any and all damage after that point. There is no way the offender should have been "allowed" to leave that spot. Extremely poor police work.

a very impressive job by the announcer in the helicopter. Had to riff and announce live in real time for an hour and a half. Also, he had an incredibly good understanding of the geography and locales. If I ever get in a high speed chase... i want this guy commentating!
