did he really say that the officers were scaring him ? SIR! You killed someone with your car, evaded the police driving over 100 MPH, endangered thousands of civilians and had an innocent bystander in your car who's life you put at risk. And you have the audacity to say how YOU'RE scared?!

If you're talking about the directions being given over radio traffic, that's actually the second cop in the chase up until the point that she missed the turn off that they took when she said "primary car take over!" Secondary position is so annoying to be because of that. (Disregard. The dispatcher did have to take over relaying directions from the officers that lost radio. That's a LONG pursuit!) But yes, I love my dispatchers and make sure to spoil them with awesome food at work when I can.

I'm more surprised he wasn't doing over 100mph on the city streets! It's pretty common here when they flee b/c over 100 on city streets, MPD has to terminate. The reckless driving here is crazy!!! I just want to say that that genuinely is some absolute next level stuff!!!! I would definitely love to see more departments adopt that SOP, so that the LEO's involved in the pursuit could just continue driving safe, staying on the suspect fleeing, and remain mentally focused on whatever threats/dangers might lurk around from the fleeing suspect as opposed to potentially risking and lives/safety by being distracted having to constantly be on the radio updating their location/direction of travel.

You would think agencies who know how dangerous this stuff can be would be buying widely available things like steering wheel mounted push to talk buttons and aftermarket heads up displays that show speed, direction and street names depending on how high end they are. They are also extremely slow to adopt new pursuit technologies like star chase, grappler, a bumper mounted spike strip, traffic light preemption that gives officers green lights based on wifi data and can also give emergency alerts on Apple navigation and wayz.

Im happy that everything was calm the entire time. The officers didnt do any unnecessary cussing or unnecessary use of force. The suspects were calm and so were the officers and the dispatchers and communication was great. Im happy everyone was safe.

It was good to see 90% of the drivers actually move to the shoulder or out of the way and many of them stop. It makes the pursuit much safer, means the police have a better chance for a successful capture and gives them the whole road to maneuver. The attitude of the suspects was incredible. It's like they think they did nothing wrong and it's no big deal. No wonder so many end up in jail.

@@smf2072 No need to be rude. The point is, they actually moved. I have seen slower pursuits where almost no one moved over as they are supposed to. The point isn't the speed, it is the courtesy of the drivers and the safety as a result of it.
