MPD isn't allowed to do pit maneuvers due to the chance of innocent bystanders getting hit or hurt. Some of the outlying towns & counties can, but not Milwaukee. I'm more surprised he wasn't doing over 100mph on the city streets! It's pretty common here when they flee b/c over 100 on city streets, MPD has to terminate. The reckless driving here is crazy!!! It's normal to do 50-55mph in a 30 😬 And people will still fly past you doing 70+ on city streets 😳

So am I the only one who has noticed Dispatch observing the LEO"s pursuit route/direction and location of travel based on AVL data and constantly update that intel over the radio for backup?!?!?! I just want to say that that genuinely is some absolute next level stuff!!!! I would definitely love to see more departments adopt that SOP, so that the LEO's involved in the pursuit could just continue driving safe, staying on the suspect fleeing, and remain mentally focused on whatever threats/dangers might lurk around from the fleeing suspect as opposed to potentially risking and lives/safety by being distracted having to constantly be on the radio updating their location/direction of travel.

You would think agencies who know how dangerous this stuff can be would be buying widely available things like steering wheel mounted push to talk buttons and aftermarket heads up displays that show speed, direction and street names depending on how high end they are. They are also extremely slow to adopt new pursuit technologies like star chase, grappler, a bumper mounted spike strip, traffic light preemption that gives officers green lights based on wifi data and can also give emergency alerts on Apple navigation and wayz.

I have a low mile 2002 4.3L 2wd I'm saving. It's governed to 100mph. As soon as you hit 100, the computer shuts the fuel off. Not alot of high end power, but nice low-end torque for just cruising around the 'burbs. I don't think it would be enough to hold off a V8 out on the highway. Also, the vehicle is quite heavy for it's size. Axel is 3.42. It's pretty much undriveable in any kind of snow.

NEVER should a semi truck be driving in the left lane except when passing, and then only in the far right lane!

So professional! I commend these officers... they were able to restrain their adrenaline one stopped after such a long chase. We definitely need more police officers like these. Also, radio dispatch did an excellent job keeping everyone updated.

How about 10 years just for speeding? It's dangerous and we can't enough people incarcerated.
