But at others... it was such a good character study and such a hopeful message and promoted good ideas of second chances, self-acceptances and redemption etcetera... I honestly thought Regina's/The Evil Queen arch was lost for good. It went through such bad writing, Just one episode ago I had no faith it could recover. This scene had me going "Oh my God!". It was beautiful. Perfect. The writers really taught us all a lesson. We all wanted Regina's happy ending (and we will still get it in the future) but we thought it solely depended on her finding love. But you have to love yourself first! Bravo!!

I would easily put this on par with one of my favorite sequences ever filmed. It’s in Superman 3 where Clark confronts his inner anger that’s manifested into a physical image of himself. What they both show is a proper build up overtime is absolutely essential to making people feel emotions when the characters confront their selves to make a moral choice/stance.
