I didn’t like Jacob at first, mostly because he annoyed me with his liberal wokeness and constant virtue signaling to the point when everyone had to call him out on it. But his character really grew on me in Season 2 because he truly cares for his students and everyone at Abbott and his “virtue signaling” are genuinely coming from his heart. Unlike several of the teachers at the charter schools who constantly virtue signal, but don’t really mean it because it makes them feel better about themselves. I hope to see more of him and his personal growth in Season 3.

I was disappointed by the ending, but happy at the same time. In Friends S10 Ross and Rachel was better than S3 Ross and Rachel because they both became fully independent and successful individuals, all while striking a better balanced friendship. The same goes for Dwayne & Whitley, Emma & Hook, the list of the greatest couples on TV goes on. As much as we crave for Janine & Gregory to get together, there's still room for career and social growth and for a deeper and meaningful friendship between the two. Hopefully with Jacob the 3rd musketeer in tow.

S3 will be like a clean slate. No romantic relationships to look forward to. Even the other characters have nothing revealing in the finale, except for Mrs Howard's sleep apnea. Can't wait to be surprised on what's in store.
