Joe Massino I'm pretty sure he made his bones but it's not necessarily a mandatory thing to do as long as you're a good earner you can earn respect that way but if you're called to whack somebody out you have to do it

if you want to have rank and be a captain you have to be a killer. The only guy i can think of who was a skipper who was not a killer was Tommy Gambino. You don't have to actually kill somebody with your hands to be considered making bones. getting rid of the body or driving the get away car is enough. Yes they have some captains that are basically just dirty businessmen and not tough guys. But every mafia member can get tapped on the shoulder and get told "you gotta do somthin for me"

@@Rumpole1000 I know he was out of prison when he died, but I didn't hear anything about him being a born again Christian, unless you are talking about this video, but in this video he only said he was going to try... Also, I know that he and his son John Jr. Actually reconciled and John Jr left the witness protection program voluntarily. Do you have a link to a source where he said that? Either way, it's nice to hear that he died after he reconciled with his son.

The House of Colonna currently hold the hereditary position of Prince Assistants to the Papal Throne at the Vatican. They claim to be the Julio-Claudian dynasty of ancient Rome and they directly descend from Peter de Columna and the Counts of Tusculum from the 10th century. The Counts of Tusculum produced 6 popes. The Counts of Tusculum often took the name Ptolemy. The Julio-Claudians ruled Rome during the conquering of Ptolemaic Egypt and the Julio-Claudians also married in with the Ptolemaic Dynasty. The Ptolemie family are an Italian nobility claiming ancestry from the Ptolemaic Dynasty. They were established in the 12th century and purchased the fiefdom of Patrica from the Colonnas. The Colonnas use the column on their coat of arms a symbol for political power. The Colonna name derives from the Greek word kolona which means column. The Columbus and Colombo names also derive from Columna. The nation of Colombia is named after Columbus. Christopher Columbus was a relative of the Colonnas and he claimed America for Rome. Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa and he was partly financed by the Doria banking family which have intermarried with the Colonnas several times like with Prince Fabrizio Colonna and his wife Bianca Doria the Duchessa of Tursi as well as Prince Andrea Doria III of Melfi and his wife Princess Giovanna Colonna di Paliano. The Colonnas ruled in Alba Longa and covertly established a branch in Salamanca, Spain as Dukes of Alba originally ruled by the Alvarez-Toledo families. Salamanca uses the column on its flag and the Dukes of Alba are intermarried with Christopher Columbus' family with his son Diego Colon and Maria de Toledo. The Alvarez family and their billionaire cousins the FitzJames family of Spain and Dukes of Alba currently work with the Colonnas. The Colonnas are primary owners of the Motisi Mafia clan of Palermo and Sicily. The Colonnas married in with the Ventimiglia Princes of Palermo and ruled in regions of Sicily as nobles and as Viceroy of Sicily with Prince Marcantonio Colonna. Baron Niccolo Turrisi Colonna was a politician from Palermo who made early mentions of the mafia before they were officially recognized. Niccolo claimed that the government attempting to shut down the mafia made the problem worse as if he was defending them to the point he was believed to be the head of the mafia. This is what these criminals do. When they get exposed they react by being more murderous and terroristic and then blame the people exposing them. The Colonnas are the owners of the Colombo crime family and part owners of the Jewish Mafia which infiltrated Hollywood creating Columbia Pictures through their New York mafia associates like Harry Cohn who met with Mussolini and was friends with mobsters like John Roselli and Jack Entratter. Chris Colombo is the current top boss of the Colombo crime family. Michael Franzese is a high level Colombo mobster while claiming to be a reformed gangster. The Colonnas are also the primary owners of the Chicago Outfit along with the Florentine House of Capponi headed up today by Count Neri Capponi, Count Sebastiano Capponi, and Count Niccolo Capponi and the Florentine House of Rosselli Del Turco headed up by Marquis Niccolo Rosselli Del Turco. The Clintons and Obamas covertly work with the Chicago Mafia. Obama is connected with Tony Rezko who was convicted of money laundering. Alexi Giannoulias is a friend of Obama whose Broadway bank financed several mobsters. The Colonna and Capponi families made an alliance during the Siege of Florence with Stefano Colonna di Palestrina as the Florentine Militia Commander. The Colonnas held various titles in the former Papal States and ruled as Dukes of Cesaro, Sicily. The Colonnas are the owners of the Knights of Columbus which use the Roman fasces symbol on its logo. Carl Anderson is Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Many police and federal agents are Knights of Columbus and some of them provide assistance to Cosa Nostra. Terence Monahan is the current Chief of the NYPD and was Jesuit educated at Fordham. Monahan is also a knight of associate of the Knights of Columbus. The Colonnas have influence over both police and organized crime. The Italian nobility use their mafias to blackmail, extort, and control politicians, bankers, and businessmen. In the 19th century Princess Livia Colonna married with their cousins again with Duke Fernando Alvarez de Toledo and their grandson was Alvaro Alvarez de Toledo who married Anna Maria DuPont. The DuPonts of France use the Colonna's column on their coat of arms. The DuPonts founded an international chemical company that has about 46 billion in assets. The Colonna and Alvarez families have covert authority over DuPont now called DowDuPont which is one of largest chemical companies in the world. Jeff Fettig is Chairman of Dupont, Howard Ungerleider is CFO, and Edward Breen is CEO. Robert Richards is a member of the DuPont family which is worth about 16 billion and he was convicted of raping his 3 year old daughter and received no prison time. Prince Guido Colonna di Paliano was a Commissioner of the European Union, Italian Vice Consul to New York City and a member of the Trilateral Commission. Jerry Colonna is a financier from New York City who helped to establish Silicon Valley. Jerry Colonna who is believed to be worth over 50 million started a small investment group called Flatiron Partners which was in the business of making billions for companies like JP Morgan Chase. Jerry Colonna handles some criminal transactions for the mafia. The Colonnas ceremonially rule over Capitoline Hill in Rome which represents the political power of Rome's corporate empire. The column symbolizes the political support that maintains their fraudulent claim to corporate-governmental ownership over a land. The Colonnas are a corporate mafia involved in infiltrating politics and businesses, financing organized crime, and supplanting cultures. Freemasonry uses two columns in their temples. The Colonna di Stiglianos recently established residences in Ireland. Prince Prospero Colonna di Stigliano is secretly controlling the Grand Lodge of Ireland. Cardinal Timothy Dolan the Archbishop of New York works under the Colonnas. Charles Dolan was Jesuit educated from John Carroll University and is worth 6 billion as the founder of Cabelvision. Charles Dolan is an agent of the Colonnas and is also a trustee of the Jesuit Fairfield University. Saint Alban was really from Alban Hills and set up Alban-Colonna clans in England early on. The name Romney means Roman. The Earls of Romney in the UK are agents of Rome and related to the American Romneys with Mitt Romney who co-founded Bain Capital which manages about 75 billion in assets. Mitt Romney was CEO of Bain & Company. Prince Filippo Colonna di Paliano has worked for Bain & Company. Tom Monaghan is an Irish-American billionaire that founded Dominos and he sold it to Bain Capital. Monaghan is an agent of the Colonnas and donated large amounts of his wealth to the Vatican. The Colonnas established a Polish branch called the Colonna-Walewski family. The Polish Mafia have been allied with the Chicago Outfit with Polish mobsters like Hymie Weiss allied with Bugs Moran and Jake Guzik allied with Al Capone. The Polish Mafia pay tributes to the Colombos and Chicago Outfit. Washington DC is designed with Roman architecture and has the Roman fasces symbol all over US federal buildings. The Fasces symbol is on the flag of the city of Norte de Santander in Columbia. Fascism means a centralization of power. Capitol Hill in DC is named after Capitoline Hill in Rome. Washington DC was called Rome in 1669 and this is stated in the Catholic Encyclopedia. America is named after the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci who created the term "New World" for the Americas. The US has been in tax contract with Ireland through the 1871 DC Organic Act. The Colonnas have been stealing from Americans through US tax contracts with the Irish government. The Colonnas have an alliance with the Irish Guinness banking family and manage the Grand Lodge of Ireland. They are a top authority of the masonic Oddfellow Order with Prince Oddone Colonna. The Italian comedian and actor Prince Urbano Riario Sforza Barberini Colonna di Sciarra oversees the Royal Order of Jesters. The German Catholic Furstenbergs work with the Colonnas and co-manage the Jesters which have been caught in sex trafficking. The Colaninno family are north Italian relatives of the Colonnas. The Colaninnos run Piaggio with Roberto Colaninno and his son Matteo Colaninno. The Colaninnos own Palazzo Canossa in Mantua and are owners of the holding company IMMSI. Paolo Andrea Colombo is an Italian businessman and worked for Interbanca which financed and advised Roberto Colaninno. Both Paolo Andrea Colombo and Roberto Colaninno worked as high level executives for Alitalia. Stefano Colonna is an Italian chemist that created the Julia-Colonna epoxidation process used by pharma companies like Bayer. Stefano Pessina is an agent of the Colonnas and worth 13 billion as the primary shareholder of Walgreens headquartered in Chicago which owns pharmaceutical companies. The Colonnas are well trained in alchemy and chemically torturing people. Members of the Colonna crime family include Prince Prospero Colonna di Stigliano, Prince Stefano Colonna di Stigliano, Princess Lucrezia Colonna di Stigliano, Princess Vittoria Colonna di Stigliano, Princess Frances Colonna di Stigliano, Princess Catherine Colonna di Stigliano, Prince Oddone Colonna, Prince Prospero Colonna di Paliano, Prince Filippo Colonna di Paliano, Prince Marcantonio Colonna di Paliano, Prince Stefano Colonna di Paliano, Princess Laurentia Colonna di Paliano, Prince Piero Colonna di Paliano, and Prince Urbano Riario Sforza Barberini Colonna di Sciarra. The Colonnas are one of the most evil families on the planet. The Colonnas need to be exterminated.

D Stuart, all the more reason for the interviewer to be respectful to Michael. The interviewer is a fool/idiot for behaving in a condescending, disrespectful manner, no matter who he would be speaking, but especially a fool speaking that way to Michael. My grandpa was born 12 Feb 1917, 6 days after Michael's dad was born and born into a similar lifestyle. My grandpa was a bookie, bootlegger, and raced horses. He was approached by the Sicilian Mafia to work for them in Las Vegas, NV, but his older brothers told him "No." Their rules were to never get involved with any other families b/c that would be a death wish. The brothers were also approached by mafia groups several times to launder money through their companies, but refused every time. My high school coach made a comment one day about my grandpa's Cadillac and about him being mafia. I thought to myself, "Say that to my grandpa's face and see what happens. "You" are a fool!" Never were these subjects to be brought up and my grandpa never spoke of that life, especially to females. Michael mentioned that no one participated in boot legging without his group's approval. I would love to know if Michael's group controlled bootlegging for the entire U.S.A back in the prohibition days. If not, which areas of the country did his group control?

My story is similar. We didn't have a "Mafia," in Australia---but we had something worse, and I was a fully paid up gangster and a member of the Federated Ship Painters and Dockers Union of Australia. If you were a member of the P&Ds, you had it made. We had a reputation as hired hitmen, murderers, thieves, armed robbers, drug dealers, extortionists, we casually committed so many Felonies that I, personally, stopped counting by age 23. I'd been accepted as a member at 20yr old. It was virtually impossible to break into this particular Union, as you had to have a long criminal record and served time in prison just to be eligible to join. You had to have two very well connected P&Ds to vouch for you and, if you were very lucky, you might get in. You see, we didn't want informers or dogs as members. You had to keep your mouth shut, no matter what. If there was a shooting ( which was common amongst P&Ds), you saw nothing, heard nothing and said nothing. Our code of silence was taken seriously by all members, and NEVER once did any Painter & Docker give evidence against another P&D. In 1982, there was a Royal Commission into the alleged Criminal activities of the Painters & Dockers Union, but not even one P&D cracked or broke the code of silence in the Witness Box or anywhere else. Some P&Ds were charged with Contempt of Court and received a heroes welcome when they got to jail, but the Union took very good care of our brothers in jail, and frequently passed the hat around to look after our Comrades in Prison. After the Costigan Report into the alleged criminal activities of the P&Ds, a few members were fined, but the fines were paid by the Union. If for some reason, a Comrade couldn't work---the Union passed the hat around for him. I saw this happen on a number of occasions, and everyone chipped in at least $50. In Brisbane, the P&Ds had about 90 members, most of whom were- like myself--- incorrigible criminals. If a member was in Jail, he didn't have to pay Union Dues and would get any job he chose as soon as or whenever he was ready to get back to work. We only worked casually, so the money was great. For those who didn't want to work, they just took their Roster Number off the board. This roster was arranged so that those who wanted to work could get as much as he wanted--- and those who didn't have to work didn't have to do a thing, as long as they paid their quarterly Union Dues. I loved the flexibility this gave me, but when there was a large vessel in the dry dock, I would put my roster no' on the board, as there was always a lot of overtime and the money was great---we even got taxis to and from work, no matter how far we had to travel. We really had it made, and whatever there was to steal, we stole as much of it as we could. It really is a great life, and I still cannot believe- given my lifestyle---that I've lived to be 50yo. Nobody, myself included, believed I'd live to be 30, and I was constantly running hot. Every day was a party, and that's how we treated it. If we needed money, we just went out and robbed some more. About 80% of my mates from that period are dead. But, the "Life," was intoxicating and very hard to get out or break free from it. I'm a writer now, but I'm still living "the Life." If anybody wishes to read more anecdotes from my vitiated lifestyle. Just give me a "Like" and I will relate more true stories. More later. Richard Hillier.

***** Thank you very much for that. I see you're a novelist. I love writing too. It is my passion. I would love to get published, as many people love my writing and me relating the events of my most unusual lifestyle. I'm just not sure how to go about it though. I do most of my writing on you tube comments. I get hundreds of "likes," and people wanting to read more. Getting an Agent in Australia is very difficult, and I have dozens of books "in my head," just waiting to be written. Getting published would be a dream come true but, as I said, I haven't got a clue what to do. Would you have any advice for me? I would really appreciate that. Thanks again for your comment and your encouragement RSP, I really look forward to your response. Best Regards, Richard Hillier.

Goughs Bastard Hello GB. Great to hear from you again. We seem to have common interests. I have always been interested in serial killers, even as a child. At 12yo, my hero was Jack the Ripper. I read everything I could find about JTR, and even speculated about whom he really was. And, 40 yrs later, I am still not persuaded that my conjecture was mistaken. I have always had an abiding interest in Forensics too, which came in very handy when I embarked upon my career of crime as soon as I was expelled from high school. But the nature of my crimes were entirely devoid of fiduciary accumulation. They were senseless and inane, possibly a manifestation of my pent up fear and rage. With respect to the nature of some of my earlier "work," when you have a habit of destroying property, as opposed to stealing it, it is a very clear indication that the ships' Captain is highly disturbed. I committed such an abundance of crimes against the type of people I so thoroughly despised, such as successful businessmen, people with expensive cars, anybody who had something I wanted but, due to my profound hatred of authority, was not in a position to obtain or earn it myself. I had so much pent up rage and contempt for humanity that I so frequently resorted to this kind of senseless conduct. I was a very malevolent, vicious and sadistic individual who got my kicks out of hurting others. I was so full of anger and hatred that I gravitated toward others like myself, who also had such hatred and contempt for authority. Needless to say, we quickly developed a ganglike mentality. Anyway mate, I must go to bed before I fall off the chair. Thanks for replying, I'd love to chat with you again. Take care and Best Regards, Richard.

***** Oh Bill, are you still going on about that crap? You can't even tell the difference between a comment that's said in jest and one that's obviously proven fact. Is your mind so completely closed that you take everything you read so literally? Here is a concept that you've never heard of before... it's called humour. Now, why don't you find a dictionary and look up what it means, instead of polluting the world with your obnoxious and puerile rubbish? GB and I have discussed matters of such profound consequence that most people would find it difficult to comprehend. You may have read some of it, as you are so insistently stalking him. May I give you a little advice? Instead of stalking GB and repeating the same thing ad nauseum, why not make some more constructive use of your time by endeavouring to learn something useful, like all of the various ways of committing suicide? There's shooting, hanging, drowning, overdosing on drugs and so much more. See if you can get your hands on something called Potassium Cyanide. I hear it tastes beautiful and makes you feel really good. Can you try some and, afterwards, come back and tell everyone what it tastes like and how good it makes you feel? I'm certain that after you do, the world will be a much better place for you, and for everybody else too. Please do it soon, none of us can wait to learn about it.

I very much respect the fact that this man turned his life around and is trying to now positively influence other people's lives, but make no mistake, the reason he never testified against anyone is because he still fears for his life and his family's life...not because he "doesn't believe it's his job to help the government put people in jail" or out of some noble principle he is interpreting from "Bible scripture". The main reason why many mobsters "flipped" and chose to help the FBI and law enforcement over the last 30 years is because they were strictly looking out for their own butts in trying to get plea deals and reduced sentences. This man was no different as he agreed to forfeit millions upon millions of dollars in restitution and fines in addition to his jail sentences he served in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Tony K. You can't really blame him though. At this point in his life all he just simply wants is to just live for his family. Plus I think testifying against the mob for him would be the final nail in the coffin for him and his father's relationship. Michael pretty much is one of the only guys that can connect to his father about the mob life and then coming to Christ. He still cares for his father and he doesn't want to ruin any chance to convince him to come to Christ. (Not that I'm being preachy or anything.)

Mr Millard -- given the criminal lifetime of thuggery, extortion, robberies, money-laundering, horrendous murders and body dismemberments that John Franzese, Sr is personally responsible for, I strongly doubt that he could be convinced to "come to Christ" or if that is even remotely relevant at this point. He is now 100 years old and is awaiting release from prison on June 25, 2017, which is a miscarriage of justice unto itself. If there were true justice, he would be forced to serve the rest of his life in prison until he eventually expires. More convincingly, it would be better argued that John Franzese Sr's best "life achievement" is that he is currently the oldest federal prisoner in the US and probably the oldest surviving federal prisoner in American history. Congrats to him. I am sure Christ is waiting for him upstairs in Heaven to give him a gold medal for that.

I'm likely sounding naive but people can surprise us Tony. Michael certainly surprised a lot of people when he left the mob and became a Born Again Christian. We Christians just simply have a hope for people that can change. Even John Franzese is capable at his age. I hope my comment didn't snap any nerves or anything.

No nerve-snapping on this end at all, no worries. Whatever religious beliefs you may have hopefully serve you well. But I don't feel that subject area is even relevant as it pertains to Mr Franzese Sr's history. He is a life-long career criminal and murderer who would be incapable of meaningful change, restitution, rehabilitation or feelings of remorse at 100 years of age. And no amount of religious belief or praying will undo what he did over the course of his lifetime, anyway. I personally feel no sympathy for him or others of his ilk who may be involved in similar criminal lifestyles.

FACTS 1. Michael Franzese signed a cooperation deal May 18,1989 with the Federal Government which compelled him to testify in criminal cases through April of 1990. 2. He was released from prison for signing that cooperation agreement. 3. He cooperated against his "Uncle" Norby Walters, whom was a racketeer in Chicago, and someone that was Michael's close friend. Michael testified that Norby Walters had extorted the Jackson Five. Michael had flown to Los Angeles to ensure that Walters could keep a firm grip on the Jackson Five, as Rob Wiesner(then Jacksons Co Mgmt) was bucking. It came down to dollars and Franzese wanted to ensure Norby got his end. "Without Norby (he told Wiesner) there would be no tour." 4. Walters was convicted on Franzese testimony, and did a five year stretch for racketeering. 5. Franzese snitched out a janitor that worked for his father former driver, Ornge Tutt. 6. Franzese gave the FBI names of inducted members in different families. 7. His own father put a contract on his head

He dodged the question. But Franzese was a made man and a capo in the Mafia. You don't become a made man unless you've killed somebody. I'm not gonna judge the man's soul, but the way I was taught, a true Christian conversion requires sincere repentance for your past sins and the willingness to accept responsibility for them. When he goes to the cops and gives a no holds barred confession detailing all his crimes, including murders, naming the victims and where the bodies are, and agrees to accept a life sentence in prison, then I will believe him.

@@theImmortalsquirrel87 Not true buddy. We know that Jesus is the Son of God who rose from the dead. I was an agnostic for most of my life. When I was 17, I started searching for the truth regarding God and whether or not he existed. I researched Atheism, Christianity, and Islam as well as learning of a few others for about 6 months. By the end the conclusion was clear: Jesus Christ is the only truth. I only ask that as you read the remainder of this comment, please have an open mind and allow me to share with you a piece of evidence: In my view the strongest piece of evidence is Jesus' resurrection. Jesus' existence is a historically established fact. Even non-Christian scholars agree on this. We actually have 12 distinct extra-biblical sources from the time period of Christianity's earliest days to confirm this, both Roman and Jewish (one of which I’ll quote at the end of this reply). They were against Christianity, yet their sources give credence to the existence of its central figure. As such, the Christ-Myth theory is complete rubbish and no serious historical scholar takes it seriously. The historical consensus is that Jesus did indeed exist. The proof of The Christian God hinges mainly on the resurrection. In order to prove this we need to establish a) Jesus was indeed dead and b) he was alive again later. One of the gospel writers was also one of Jesus' 12 apostles, John. He was present at the crucifixion. He describes the stabbing of Jesus lung as a sudden outflow of blood and then water - this is exactly how an uneducated laymen would describe the rupturing of the pericardial sac, giving credence that his death was authentic. The Romans too were very thorough in their executions, which is why they stabbed Jesus to make sure he was dead. Jesus could not have faked it. Non-Christian scholars agree that he indeed died on the cross. To quote a JEWISH scholar - Pinchas Lapide: ''Jesus' death by crucifixion is historically certain.'' The MUSLIM Scholar Reza Aslan said: “Islam doesn’t believe that Jesus was crucified. Jesus was most definitely crucified.” The ATHEIST scholar Gerd Ludemann: “Jesus’ death as a consequence of crucifixion is indisputable.” Another JEW, Paula Fredriksen says: “The single most solid fact about Jesus’ life is his death”. Even Bart Ehrman, arguably the most well-known ATHEIST critic of the scriptures says: “One of the most CERTAIN FACTS OF HISTORY is that Jesus was crucified on orders of the Roman prefect of Judea, Pontius Pilate.” Historians agree that the tomb was indeed empty, for various reasons. The belief in Christ's resurrection is dated soon after his death. To quote James DG Dunn, speaking on the resurrection: "This tradition we can be entirely confident was formulated within months of Jesus' death." If the tomb wasn't empty then the Jews and Romans, noticing the fast spread of early Christianity, would have either removed the body and hung it at the city gates (in the case of the Romans) or encouraged the early Christians and the Jews around them to take a look at the body in the tomb. But this didn't happen, because the tomb did not have Jesus in it. Secondly, Jesus' tomb was first discovered empty by women. Women were viewed very lowly in first-century Palestine (First-century Jewish scholar Josephus wrote that the testimony of a woman could not be trusted, the predominant attitude among the Palestinian men at the time under the false guise that they were naturally mentally inferior). Yet the gospels, and in particular the gospel of Luke (whom archaeologist Sir William Ramsay said: "should be placed along with the very greatest of historians'') attributes a woman as the first witnesses. If Christ's resurrection were false and the early Christians wanted the people of their day to believe he was risen, they would have attributed the initial witness of Christ's resurrection to a man. The reason they didn't is because they wanted to record as accurately as possible the events that occurred - the true resurrection of Jesus. Historically, the Jews circulated the story that Jesus' disciples had stolen the body. This was not only addressed in the gospel of Matthew, but in the second century Justin Martyr recorded that it was still being circulated in his day! There would be no need had the tomb not been empty. But the disciples could not possibly have stolen the body. Pontius Pilate sent out a detachment of Roman soldiers who took shifts day and night guarding the tomb, so as to prevent anyone from stealing the body. A Roman guard was a group consisting of 10 to 30 soldiers. They took shifts day and night, so there was never a time in the days before Jesus' resurrection that the tomb was never being watched - they would have seen the disciples approach. Even if they were asleep the stone, weighing about 3 or 4 thousand pounds would have needed to be pushed by multiple of Jesus' followers to have a chance of being moved; so they would have been seen, heard struggling and the heavy stone heard moving, arrested and killed. This did not happen. This leaves us with the fact that the disappearance of Jesus' body from the tomb could not have happened from an outside source coming in. It had to have happened on the inside, where only the dead Jesus lay. Hence, we can conclude he was resurrected. Giving further credence to this is that 10 of the 11 remaining (after Judas' betrayal) disciples were executed because of their Christian faith, as attested confidently by historical sources. To quote Sean McDowell of Peter: ''The early, consistent and unanimous testimony is that Peter died as a martyr;" and of the martyrdom of the disciples as a whole: "It shows the depth of the apostles’ convictions. They were not liars. They truly believed Jesus rose from the grave and they were willing to give their lives for it." They needed only to deny their faith to be saved, but did not. Would you seriously die for something that you know wasn't true? These men died fully believing in their contact with the risen Christ. Some have theorised that they merely had hallucinations, but this isn't true for 4 reasons: 1) The theory does not explain the empty tomb 2) Multiple people shared in group-visions of Jesus 3) They had group-conversations with the risen Christ 4) They touched Jesus and ate with him, which is impossible with a hallucination. The gospel of John speaks of Thomas physically touching Jesus' wounds to prove to himself he was real! Another evidence was Paul's conversion. Luke (as said, a first-rate historian) records in the Book of Acts that Paul persecuted the early church before being converted after seeing and talking with the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus. This was also confirmed by Paul in his own letters, in which he also expresses his deep remorse at persecuting God's church, saying he doesn't even consider himself worthy as an apostle after the way he persecuted early Christians (see 1 Corinthians 15:9). He hated them, then he became arguably their most influential apostle. Historians report that he too was martyred for his faith. This would not have happened had he not encountered the risen Jesus. In one of Paul's letters to the church in the early days of Christianity, First Corinthians (Chapter 15 for reference), he speaks of Christ's post-resurrection appearances to people (over 500 in total), even encouraging the Corinthian church, if they don't take his word for it, to speak to the people who saw the risen Jesus if they don't believe - that they may have mental assurance of his resurrection. If the resurrection was something he and the other apostles made up he would not encourage believers to speak to people who could discredit the apostle's claims. And consider this, that the someone did not just sit down and write the bible. 4 independently written narrative sources (the gospels) and even more letters from different authors such as Paul and Peter, are consistent on this fact of Jesus' resurrection - with secular sources testifying of the earliest Christians' convictions of the resurrection as a fact - to the point they died for their beliefs. If we take all of these together it becomes clear that Jesus rose from the dead, which would be impossible unless it was a miracle of God. Please consider this, and may The Lord show you the way my friend. Amen. SOURCE: Reporting on Emperor Nero's decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed Rome in A.D. 64, the Roman historian Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome” What can we learn from this ancient reference to Jesus and the early Christians? Notice, first, that Tacitus reports Christians derived their name from a historical person called Christus (from the Latin), or Christ. He is said to have "suffered the extreme penalty," obviously alluding to the Roman method of execution known as crucifixion. This is said to have occurred during the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilatus. This confirms much of what the Gospels tell us about the death of Jesus.

I like this. It is moving, and Michael Franzese is 100% credible. There is such a thing as, if you'll excuse the expression, a "good rat." And if really believable, straight-up guys like Franzese (and Fratianno, Cantalupo) did not come forward to talk frankly about the real deal, real people, etc., a lot of people out here who can understand it would not know these things that are interesting to us. He said the gas racket was pulling in $8-9 million a week? Do you realize that's about $450 million a year, from just one racket? I can't even comprehend that much money, but that is really something. I always remember Sonny Franzese from "The Hit," by James Mills in Life magazine, 1967? '68?

What if he really just got promoted to boss during his incarceration and he is now hiding in plain sight of everyone as a reformed man who left that life behind, using his father as an emissary to give orders to the front boss/underboss. Using the proceeds to launder the millions he probably still has stashed from the gas scheme. It would be some Carlo Gambino level genius to that plan.

@@chadjones6313Or what will happen Chad? I never said thats what Don Carlo would have done, i said it would be a clever plan manipulating everyone from behind the scenes, exactly how Gambino liked to play the game. I was paying homage to the guys genius. He would not ever leave the mob and publicly renounce it, but he lived during a different time too. I sort of can get where you are coming from, but you are out of line.
