This piece also COMPLETELY downplays Nick’s role (Frank Sr.’s brother), whose testimony was really what broke the case wide open. Nick is the one who was ACTUALLY member of the Outfit, Frank Jr. was an associate protected under his father’s wing at best (even he would tell you that). Nick was the one who was guilty of betrayal more than anyone, Frank Jr. was treated like shit by his father and his uncle really actually looked out for him more in the end.....

I've been on the streets of Chicago all my life...Not a place on the Southwest side I haven't been....In the right situation, most criminals will turn over let that be the Italians, Latin Kings, Gangster Disciples, everybody...it's a consequence of living a life of crime. 4:42 Nicky Santoro in ‘Casino’ was based on Anthony Spilotro, not Tommy DeVito in ‘Goodfellas’ who was based on Tommy DeSimone. This is why no one trusts the media anymore.

They are sitting up laughing at peoples demise. This is becoming the norm. Kill 12 or 13 people make a bee line for a federal seat to turn do 8 to 12 years and go on t.v and tell the stories of what took place. You know, honorable murders, only each other, you know with violin music and with honor and respect, yeah ..o.k. Yet, guys decide you have to go,like how Nicky, killed Salvie Testa just because he felt threatened because he was just super paranoid. The boss can say you gotta go, and without question you gotta take this person out or you will go for not doing what you were told, or being subversive. Phil Leonetti said he grew up with Salvie Testa , and he had done nothing wrong, yet he had to ice him, because of an order. Some honor!

+JMAZZ80 Actually, murderers are the fucking lowest of the low. Very romantic view of the Mafia, punks who are nothing without people backing them, would shoot you in the back, fucking cowards. I applaud the courage of this MAN, who got a lousy murdering scum off the street. What kind of MAN would want this kind of life for his son? The show of friendship is whether you would help someone bury a body? Fucking animals.
