It's actually more of a tragedy than a cause for celebration.Soccer is so big from the point of view of participation and yet the US doesn't produce the players it should. This last decade has been fallow. There were a lot of goalies in the late nineties and the noughties along with outfield players in the German and English leagues. From there, there has been a downturn with Pulisic notable for bucking the trend.

Joao Felix, Venicious, Haaland, Ansu Fati, De Ligt, De Jong, Alexander-Arnold, Valverde, Havertz, Alphonso Davies, Have all played better than him, have played more than him, AND are at better clubs, Then you still have players at crappy clubs like Donnarumma , Zaniolo, Camavinga, etc. The list of way better young players goes on and on and on.

I am not going to lie, I have been raised in America and still live there, I call it football because whenever I call it soccer I get bombarded by people from other nations saying i'm stupid and it's called football, I think there's a stereotype that most of us get which isn't fair. TL;DR: Nations are a little mean to Americans who like soccer
