Mary will always be _that_ woman. The growth, grace, class and maturity has really molded her into the woman she is today. The woman's music is medicine and soul food at the same damn time, it never gets old. I'm happy she came out of all that's she went through since the beginning of her career. She's a true warrior. And she's definitely motivated me to do more and achieve with my life. Love her.

This is what happens when you give yourself too much to another person and you forget the most important person in your life which is you. She always put him first. I have seen her interviews. She always talked about her ex like he was high and mighty. She really loved and trusted that man. She really believed he would never do her wrong. That's so sad. I hope she is okay. Mary is amazing! She has been the voice for so many black women who have gone through what she has plus some! She’s strong and honest. I’ve always been a huge M.J.B fan because her music is compelling and I can resonate with her struggles! I bless her path for more success and accomplishments because she deserves “To Be Happy” Love You Queen 🌹❤️💯🙏🏾

My daughter and I got a chance to talk with Mary 3 years ago and she was so humble and real. She appreciated our honesty of her. We took pics and we were honored to meet her! I grew up on Mary's music and its relatable to many Sistaa. Let me tell y'all, Mary is gorgeous in person and her skin is amazing!

For a split second, I thought the interviewer was Actress Lela Rochon. I wish Mary knew how valued and pretty she is. I want to see her Win at life. She deserve it.

When she said she remembers feeling literally right before it happened...my mind was like that's that moment were your childhood is just gone...there is no way after that to even possibly think the same again...there is a split that happens...otherwise the next day can't even begin

It was 1992, I begged my dad to get me the cd by that singer from NYC. I didn't know her name and my dad said he could go to the store and ask for a cd by a lady from NYC!!! I went with him to Circuit City and we found it!!! The guy said her name is Mary. J. Blige, the album is What's the 411? Mary has been an inspiration to me every since!! I thank God for her talent and for giving all of us joy and hope!!
