She is full of BS. As someone who has 13 years of sobriety, there is NO ONE responsible for my behavior but me. That includes choosing to drink. I can’t count the number of times people encourage/push me to have a drink. It’s up to me to say no if I want a life of sobriety. She made the choice to return to the show multiple times for the money. She says that in this interview, that it was impossible to pass up. Bullshit. I’ve left good jobs due to bad work environments. You move on. She made a choice to prioritize money over her sobriety and mental health. She made the choice to drink knowing she was an addict. She made the choice to drink while on meds for mental health. She made the choice to join knowing anything and everything in your life is up for exposure. I’ve even heard Andy say that people should never go on reality TV if they have secrets currently or in the past because it will like be found out, usually by fans and exposed. And for her to say she “chose not to come back is a joke. Her show was cancelled. I saw her in an interview while they were in hiatus saying she hoped the show continued and she wanted to come back. I have several family members with bipolar and part of management is making sure you set up your life to not have chaos and avoid stress. She must be looking for a settlement because there’s no way she could win this.

Alcoholism is a disease. She can be on reality TV and get the support that she needs. We wouldn’t treat people with other sicknesses the same way. And once a reality star signs a contract for the whole season, it is not easy to get out of. I can only imagine the peer pressure she received in the overwhelming presence and absence of cameras. Being entertained by the demise of rich women, which all of the Real Housewives franchises do, is entertaining for some until it is not - like she is claiming.

She was the toxic in the workplace. I’m not saying being a HW is as glamorous as it seems, there is an exploitation there. But that’s what they sign up for. A well balanced showed about people’s real mundane lives isn’t entertaining. It’s trash tv. And it’s tried and tested. She knew what she was getting into. And as for the allegations about Andy. The one thing that comes to mind is of nearly every reality show cast member commenting at some point on how they are basically placed at a lunch or dinner table... and plied with alcohol. I'm not stating that's ethically right.. but it is most definitely something that cast members would be very aware of.. and I think that's why she added in the part of how "they" would say to her "people miss the old Leah.. not the sober Leah".. which doesn't even make sense because it hadn't even aired because they were obviously just filming it. And even if it did.. that still doesn't equate to being forced to consume alcohol. It would be so refreshing to see one or more of these (generally) women who sue for allegedly moral reasons.. to do so with a true sense of protectiveness for other women.. and without financial incentive. It is extraordinary that a court could even assess this as being worthy of court process. She obviously thought that the 250k, for 1 week of work was excessive.. and there is often alot that is implied in a financial bonus- that wouldn't go down in a contract.. especially for an all expenses paid week away in Thailand with a group of women who you have had a big history of drinking with. And fr, she sounds like any addict/alcoholic who is incapable of taking basic accountability about the AA meetings. I understand she is trying to answer every basic and logical question before she is asked.. but maybe she could have done an online meeting.. or caught an uber to a meeting with the 250k you reveived for 7 days' work! 😅 America really caters to these types of women.. and that is super problematic for women...
