Ok, so a friend invites you to dinner at a fancy restaurant and you say, gee, "I'd love to go but I can't afford that place. So she says "I'll treat - I make four times what you make, you deserve a treat. I'm having lobster - what will you have?" Your friend orders a bottle of wine for the table. Then she says "We should get dessert!" Then when the bill comes, your friend slips out the back the back door and stiffs you with the bill. A bill she knew damn well you couldn't afford in the first place. As you're explaining your situation to the server, you over hear a couple at the next table snicker and say "I guess it's karma for taking advantage of her friend." You're quite confused by this as you're the one stuck with the bill and your so called friend snuck out on you. If you have no sympathy for Rachel, then you are in Anna's camp. Anna has never apologized nor showed any remorse for what she has done. In the end Anna was the only one who lied about her money, her intent to pay and even her identity. What did Rachel lie about?

I caught that she mentioned “being white” as a reason it was really easy for this girl to get away with so much. This coming from another white woman. She understands she won’t be questioned. She knows that no one would truly suspect it because it was believable. Her personality and persuasiveness got her in the door, but her being white is key. Glad American Express helped this girl. To the ones that feel Rachel was “ using” Anna, consider that you would let your rich friend pay for things if they insisted and you knew they could . It’s like Anna was sort of grooming Rachel to later on violate her….to trust her, feel comfortable with her, her love bombing was her buying her an all expense paid vacations and spa dates.

Okay maybe that was what Anna was doing but Rachel is still an opportunist because she took tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars with the free stuff for Anna for 2 years and I bet you that million dollars that Rachel made out of all this and not even having to pay the bill so $1,062,000 that Rachel would have never been her friend if she hadn't been paying for everything so Rachel didn't get her just deserves for being an opportunist but Anna did. Let's not forget Anna had 10 counts against her she was found guilty on seven of the three she was found not guilty on one was defrauding Rachel so a jury says Rachel's not a victim and she wasn't defrauded. Also, people on Wall Street and bankers and people like Rachel defraud and milk people all the time.

I don't see Rachel as a victim at all I see her as a huge opportunist. That's what's with the fake smile the whole painful interview. She was an opportunist and letting Anna pay for tens and tens and tens of thousands worth of stuff over a two year period. She tried to be an opportunist by going on this lavish all expense a vacation. Her credit card debt had already been wiped and she was in no danger of having to repay it when she set up the sting to get Anna to leave rehab so she could be arrested in extradited. Then she was an opportunist after that by selling her story all over the place and writing articles for vanity Fair. Interesting how she worked for vanity Fair then cooperated in a sting even though she wasn't in financial debt and she was in no danger of losing her job or having to repay the credit card and should have been in no financial problems and then cooperates and get a sting that gets an arrested and extra guided and an article with Rachel's pictures the author in it appears in vanity Fair. I know we all like the good guy bad guy scenario but there's a lot of Anna in a lot of people and I don't really see Rachel or Anna as any different. Bottom line the jury had no problem convicting Anna on a lot of charges and they found her not guilty of the charge regarding Rachel. I think the only reason Rachel was mad about that outcome is because it does bring into question the legitimacy of her actions and her story.

It depends on the price to but nothing wrong with that you’re making a statement like this on the wrong with. No it’s not actually sometimes you can pay it And be equal thing or San Jose pays enough to pay they could be that too if he has her only idea friendship sure but it could be both. You don’t have to be half all the time. Yes it can be sometimes but yeah because of your friendship, but I don’t need it as a bad thing I was with Pain and if somebody office a piece of her things oh yeah, don’t make it bad Specially if they’re all fine, I’m a do you have to take it now like again like I said, depends on what it is but you have till the same things from Walmart and mostly which is offered but I don’t like to because for most part that’s why she says I have a family I’m a want you do it for because I don’t ask for anything I don’t really ask for anything I don’t want anything and she has a hard time convincing me sometimes you do certain things or letting her buy for certain things because I keep saying no but and then I always feel bad about it but she knows I’ll do it for her to listen if she need help that’s why she does it. She knows I’ll help her, but she needs help, but again it’s not bad to have you to sometimes you’re friendly face and I wish you could pay. There’s nothing wrong with that you don’t have to always pay half now if it’s a hotel stay then yeah I should be happy to pay your share and they should pay their share. I believe that’s what I believe for a hotel stay well if you want to eat or hang out with Page that has a bang you know again like I said some hasn’t been, my cousin goes out there and you know like last time my cousin paid you know for us, because we always take turns.

Also, the friend who thought she was getting a free $60,000 stay? Get real. She was the one who was using the Ana, and then she ended up having to pay. Did anybody ever think that maybe she really did just want to be cared about and liked and she spent years trying to buy people who then continued to be leeches. So, she got hard & cold & felt they got what they deserved. Obviously, it's not healthy to try and buy people's love and affection, but, as someone who lost their parents at a young age and then have no living relatives by the time I was 20 and to have some inheritance money I went through a phase where I did that because I was so alone in the world and scared didn't feel like people would love me if I couldn't do for them. How are there so many comments dragging Rachel? Are we watching the same video? I don’t see anything wrong with Rachel that would merit all these personal attacks. She seems like a sweet, normal person. If you’re frustrated with her success following this incident, do you also resent influencers? Every person who has written a memoir? Every non-celebrity who has appeared on talk shows for a unique experience? SMH

Just because Rachel had some good things come out from the experience she had with Anna doesn't mean she didn't experience REAL trauma. I'm happy for Rachel, she deserves to have good things happening. Rachel needed to get the main character of her life back and I would have done the same as she did.
@mikatu2 жыл бұрын
Trauma is not this. She is profiting of all of this and is playing the victim card. She was no victim. She was milking Anna and was with her just because she assumed she was rich, not because she liked her. She was fake as Anna, but at least Anna was honest about it, this b* pretends to be a victim.

@@colibri4676 you mean she had a panic attack.?? Because in the end she came out more then fine. She didn't once think anything of another person spending enormous amounts of 💰 on her. So yeah this isn't trauma. This was a oh sh* t what just happened. Real people live in real poverty everyday. Can't afford rent and basic necessities and will lose their job because they can't get to work on time when they lose their home and car. Not because they went on a european vacation they couldn't afford. Or because they abused their work credit cards by charging an amount they didn't have permission for. This was a panic attack for not making good decisions and getting "just desserts" for being as much of a fake friend as the wanna be heiress

Is Rachel Williams benefiting from what happened? Probably but the difference is this. Rachel is selling something she actually has, the rights to her story. Why do so many people have a problem with that? She is making a good-faith transaction with willing purchasers and is actually providing them with the promised product

That being said, while it’s not necessarily nice or good manners to take advantage of a rich girl and have her constantly foot all the bills, dealing with a sociopath is an experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Having dealt with it myself; the emotional and psychological anguish that ensues trumps having your friend foot a personal trainer or some drinks any day of the week. The two wrongs are completely incomparable. Sure people are right to criticize her leeching on one hand, but compared to what sorokin did - it’s basically child’s plays.

There is a difference between taking advantage of someone by inviting them to places expecting them to pay for everything and them buying you things on their own.

Not really because she never had to be in that situation in the first place of giving her credit card. She's a complete opportunist. She's really not that much different than Anna I think she just played a better game. Anna paid for tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff for her over 2 years and never took a thing and Rachel never offered her anything never bought her a gift never wrote her a thank you card and she was all set to take a lavish $60,000 vacation on someone else's dime. She had the debt forgiven by Amex before she cooperated in the sting and I think it's kind of ironic that she worked for vanity Fair was in no danger of losing her job and in no financial debt yet cooperated in a sting that got Anna to leave rehab so she could be extradited and suddenly an article that she authored which never authored anything prior in her life appeared in vanity Fair and she slapped her picture in there as the writer not at all trying to keep a low profile and then was an opportunist by selling her story over and over and over again. Let's not forget the jury found Anna guilty on a lot of serious crimes that had the potential to have her incarcerated for 12 years of her life and they found her not guilty of defrauding Rachel. So this little interview is spin because she needs her book to continue to do well and the movie option continue to do well and all of that money coming in. Seems to me Rachel made out like a bandit she got tens and tens of thousands worth of dollars worth of free stuff from Anna got her vacation bill wiped clean and made about a million after. My point is is that Rachel would have never been Anna's friend for so long putting up with her attitude or whatever if Anna hadn't been paying for everything all the time and so Rachel was a participant because she wanted the free stuff and the free training sessions and the free nights out more than she wanted to take care of her own personal health and that is completely on her and now she's crying victim she didn't even have to pay it did she voluntarily pay the money after she made the $600,000 to Amex and say look I end up making money on this I know you wiped it but how about I go ahead and pay that bill no.

Anna is a narcissist. So putting on and taking advantage is her thing. Anna knew more or less from the beginning that she was eventually going to use her. She looks for people like her. The mistake this girl made was she didn't ask any questions and went with this care free style. Not realizing this care free person lacked maturity. People sadly get into these relationships (boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, family, "friend" that never pays bills, booty calls, pull heart strings for sympathy) all the time and you always pay for trusting them.

Being a sociopath and a scammer are not necessarily mutually exclusive. It takes a sociopath to scam on this level. Plus sociopaths get away with it because of their charm, which helps them dupe victims.

She´s clearly a sociopath. There´s no doubt about it. She has no remorse about having hurt people or made them look like fools. Just because she fooled people who were wealthy, it doesn't mean they didn't have feelings.

@@N0N4M30 She can be both. There can be overlap between sociopathy and narcissism. Her behavior in court displayed narcissism, but sociopathy is her key trait. I know how she feels... I had a guy who I liked, scammer online took $8000 from me, know I was a student with student loan. Video chatted with him and he made it seem like he was in rough place losing his job in US as an immigrant. Also, he told to me to invest in BTC for our future and the platform I invested in was not legit. So, I never gave him the money directly but, actuality it went to a fake platform. They groom you by treating you, shows you love/compassion and then, acts emotionally abusive. That is ten times worse than what Rachel went through but, I do support you. These kind of people hurt others at all cost, make fake relationships
