I was a trauma nurse for a number of years here in the United States. The development of seizures can be a blast injury. You don't have to have a visible exterior blast injury for there to be injury. She spoke of the explosion right before her capture that damaged her hearing for three days… The seizures wouldn't manifest right away ... it would take time. Thanks be to God for her deliverance.

By getting up and moving it then goes back to being pumped around your body normally and blood carries oxygen and also waste products to the lungs or kidneys for release. I think one of the doctors told her she had saved her arm by moving it. A smart woman who of course had her mind in survival mode. Even though she admitted that towards her release she was almost at wits end she had enormous strength for self-preservation because out of 55 days, she was alone with terrorists for 50 days.

To clarify why she didnt cry: When you're that level of afraid, you cant cry because you are too afraid to be able to let emotions out. Emotions come out when you feel you are safe from being ridiculed or shamed for it. Basically they were this level of "nice" to her because they wanted the hostages to go back and give a picture of them as not the monsters they are described as. But the babies shot to death straight through the heart in their cribs or baby seats and the pregnant women who had their stomachs cut up, the feetus ripped out and stabbed to death wouldnt agree, Im sure. From America, watching this beautiful and strong woman tell her story. I'm in tears the whole time. She is so strong. Mia is undoubtedly very smart. She knew exactly how to play this to come out alive and she did. My heart breaks for her and what she had to endure and what she still is enduring. I pray for healing and peace for Mia. She didn't break down not once until asked about the others left behind. Says alot about who she is. She most likely will have survival guilt. The whales she just let go the moment she was in her mom's arms again. 😢 I had to pause. As a mom...I cannot imagine.
