I've learned one thing about women on Match: The "Athletic" under his body type in "who they're looking for" GOLDEN RULE. If a woman states "Athletic" under her preferences and no other body type, this is key for "He MUST have bulging biceps, a 6pack, and have an overall hotter body than a Greek God or else I'm NOT interested, no matter what the rest of his profile states." It DOES NOT mean "He just can't look unhealthy or out of shape." They will immediately scroll down to this on a man's profile as they can't always tell his body type just by looking at his pictures when he is fully clothed. It is the same for his height, which usually always has to be essentially over 6ft too. I avoid women who just state this at all costs as that is exactly what they are stating rather than simply putting "muscles" in his best feature which means the same thing. This means everything to these women, they are NOT just preferences. I also avoid ones who state "how much money he earns" as they are all just gold diggers. These types of women will immediately scroll down to this preference too.

Their tech support sounds like an Asian sweatshop which has no contact with their headquarters in Dallas, TX. It seems like a few in Dallas created this site, they take in the money, send solution to their customers problems to Asia who has apparently no control over the operation. Their Dallas number is automatically redirection to sweatshop....A genuine fly by night type setup. The shocking part is that there are no regulators to control such shady operations. There is no protection for the consumers. Most people don't think about checking BBB for what they falsely assume that a shady operation of this proportion can exist. It is s big stain on our regulatory system and a very big BUYER BE WARE case for Match.com consumers....

Had my $150 account terminated no questions asked based on a single complaint from a spiteful woman who felt my non-response to her email deserved punishment. The boost option is also a scam on match.com. They allow you to purchase a “boost” which supposedly puts your profile so that it’s the first one people see. I did it once and got 25 views on my profile for the hour it lasted. Then not a single one for another week after that. The following week I boosted again and it was the exact same 25 profiles they showed the week prior they said viewed me the second time around. It’s not worth your hard earned money.

Their customer service is a joke. You email is answered by a BOT. I contacted the BBB after 4 attempts and a BOT even replied to the BBB. What do I mean? Someone tried to use my stolen credit card to fund an account. They were not able to fund the account as my bank refused payment. I filed a police report and was told to find out what account was my card trying to fund. Each reply has came back from Match, they can not issue a refund. My card was not used to purchase services. They continue to ignore my question as well as replying to the BBB with the same answer, they can not issue a refund. MATCH YOU SUCK!

I would assume he is not a member, right? Sometimes he isn’t a member... that’s why members don’t get replies to messages. You’re not being ignored. They only have a profile to browse. If you’re messaging a lot of Likes who aren’t members, they’re using your profile in their ads. You’re wasting your time while you earn them money. I see the “like” and am encouraged to send a message, but only to generate revenue for Match... These men are just bait for me the same as I am bait for them. Sometimes the wo-man is a member (The member tells me they have been for so for a month), and Match is trying to get you to pay for a service not needed, by tricking a member into thinking that perfect profile and picture you just saw isn’t a member. Match is not about helping people find relationships, but about getting your money and you online data. It’s a slight of hand trick for both parties with a few bad and good profiles thrown in the mix for good measure. More than one man has told me they messages they get are from POF, which are bots which send links to porn sites and videos. Match bought POF in 2015. These bots will steal your passwords if you click the link. Not to mention POF was rated the worst site for stalkers and rapists by a research firm, which is dangerous for women.
