What we know for sure is the fact that all human societies had tons of wars and conquests and women who survived and had viable descendants took the side of the winner not by choice and symmetric form had nothing to do with it. In addition to this since neolithic siblings were used to pick the husband for the teenage girls and again their choice had nothing to do with it. Even today Muslim Jew and Asian and African countries have the tradition of choosing the husband for the girls! This fact must have a long term effect in a way or another . Maybe women are more flexible with the physical choice of their partner compared to men and prefer psychological qualities like confidence, courage and commitment and can eventually fall in love with a men she didn't find attractive at the beginning? On an another side , you can say neolithic is just 20 k years ago and don't outweigh 200k of hunter-gather and women still rate attractiveness with their paleolithic brain? Who knows ?

@@LegendaryCS4 Do you know how many times a man hears these unicorn words from society yet they face with the exact opposite in real world. You don't. Why? Because you are probably a woman and you are taught to say like that. Men have to be better part of the humanity because they simply given the role of being it. Man are usually do not look into specific details of a woman, and there is some evolution based explanations to that, (lesser population of male due to fighting and hunting, causes one man to be have to impregnate multiple woman caused male to be less "picky" about the choice of woman) Woman on the other hand, by their nature, desirable by men. And they don't have the responsibility of providing. They are to stay at a safe place to raise kid. And the more general biological role of female is to make sure only the strong and capable men stays with the tribe so the whole society protects its stay. There is no need to hate Jordan Peterson, because he says the same thing, people that are usually hating him just defend their political agenda without thinking rationally and the media is mostly being super aggressive towards him. And when i say this, I'm not even living in NA, i could be considered "leftist" in the country that i am living, and the leftist people of the NA shows same behaviors with the right wing of where I'm living, and right wing of where I'm living is also have the Jihadic opinions. Males are rated and chosen based on the degree to which they can positively influence the 'Physical Environment' around them. Indicators of this in the human domain are appearance (health, hygiene, and charisma), physical size (height and strength), and available resources (money and assets). Being able to positively influence their environment means they can acquire food, housing, allies, and create general order and stability. These things grant safety and protection. Probably the most important aspect to achieve this is having resources. This is probably why there are so many stereotypes about women chasing men with money. Women want men who can create a safe environment and bring stability into her life. This is logical. Especially in times of extreme vulnerability like during pregnancy, and when there are young children present. Women are rated and chosen based on the degree to which they can positively 'Influence and Add to the Social Environment.' Indicators of this in the human domain are Appearance (health, hygiene, and fitness) and caregiving (supportive, nurturing, peace-making and friendly). 'Adding to' the social environment is straightforward, able to have children. The burden to bear children has greatly influenced the shape of women's bodies over time and evolution has imbued men with a subconscious sense for what is suitable for childbearing. This is why the stereotypes about men only caring about looks persists. It's partly true. Being able to positively influence the social environment means they are good at managing varied and complex social situations which maximize the safety and reputation of the family and social unit. Men want women who can bear children and who can bring peace into their life. The most effective family units, in general, are those where a division of labor exists between the parents. Each party works to minimize the time the other must spend away from their primary role. If the father has a primary role for providing safety and stability, he must maximize his health markers and earnings potential. If the mother has a primary role of raising children and safeguarding the family's social wellbeing, she must maximize her health markers and home management abilities. Each role is determined by what they initially found attractive about the other. If the roles are reversed, that's okay. You would have a dynamic where the man was attracted to the woman for her ability to provide and the woman was attracted to him for his looks and skills in social navigation. I've personally never seen this. In modern times you usually see a woman working to provide while also being the primary caregiver in the home. Splitting one's energy between roles is probably very hard and probably why the rate of depression in women has been skyrocketing. Women are filling two roles. Humans did not evolve to do this.

The primary objectives vary according to their biological compositions which express differently their selection processes. For males, they need to increase the chances of passing on their genetic material which statistically increases their chances of success when there are multiple viable mating options. Therefore traits are more common and not selectively narrowed. However, females select males based on orientations such as parental investment, kin selection, and resources allocation which are much more sophisticated processes to adapt. The best way to think about it is that females will choose males based on what they can empirically provide, whereas males select females based more on what they can pass down.

@@mirlindbacaj4157 No. You did not. You identified a surface layer of what's being discussed. Without depth these things can be and often are misunderstood. There are men who believe that cash and muscles are what attract women, and not what cash and muscles are indicators of. The people who look at as simplistically as yourself are people who do not understand why these things can be true, and certainly don't understand it when they aren't true. This shallow view of things also leads to resentment in rejected men who believe that women are 'only' interested in these materialistic things, and again, not what these things represent to a woman's instincts. For example, a woman can be attracted to a man for his looks and money. But when she finds out he's a conceited meathead who got his money from an inheritance or lottery ticket, she will start to see what she didn't see of him before, that he's a mannequin. He has no true depth of character. He's more vain than a woman, preoccupied with his own appearance. That shows insecurity. The effects of your good looks only continue to work on your woman if you're confident enough in them to not gaze into every mirror or shop window, scanning yourself for imperfections. She likes good looks, but she likes strength more. A pretty man who is stricken with anxiety over his prettiness might as well be a woman. Then what if he lost that money, he wouldn't be able to make it back again because he got it through chance. It's the things therefore that reside in character that women appreciate. The ability to make money is an indicator of intelligence and the ability to keep the family safe and cared for, so that they won't suffer. Looks are great, it means pretty kids and a fun time making those kids, but if his looks give him a weak character, then she won't respect him. A woman can't get aroused for someone she doesn't respect, same as a man can't get aroused for a woman who has the opposite characteristics of what he finds sexually appealing. Again, your simplistic view is worthless. You haven't covered anything succinctly.

I think to be truly attractive, a man needs to have a sense of purpose in the world. To be kind to others and compassionate. To have a goal in life that contributes to society and to work towards that goal without hesitation. To not place women on a pedestal and to not see them a central purpose to life. As soon as you develop this mindset of not needing a woman, you can be truly happy and pleased with yourself, that you are a man of character, integrity and genuine sense of mission in life. I think this is what makes a man universally attractive.

@leorenthlei31864 жыл бұрын
@Aftermath By no means, not a jerk.. but rather, not being a pushover is what's necessary. I got from your words that you've shown hints of romantic interests in a girl but wanted to know her first as friends, and when you developed romantic feelings and finally confessed, you might've probably been told you're just a friend. Depending on the times you interacted and how close you were with her, I presume it probably hurt a lot. (I could continue and write a whole essay on this but I'll get to the point now) The infatuative experience and drama left you sore and you have trust issues now with women and you feel that showing kindness, in all honesty, will end in your rejection again. Now, honestly, I want you to evaluate on the woman who wanted to remain friends with you. Was it about you or about her that the rejection happened? Was she someone who knew what kind of partner she wants or is she actually avoidant of intimacy when it was gonna end up in an actual relationship, or is she someone who is just really confused and with past issues in general? If you can answer these questions, then I gurantee a lot of things will clear up for you. You won't question your worth because the things people do to us is actually not because of what we are, but because of what they are. Now finally, be kind, not for a girl, but for yourself, for God, for your family and the wonderful things and people in the future 🎉

Orthotropics.. yeah, I guess that's a good one. it'd generally be a good idea to breakdown the handsome category. Handsome's quite a broad word. She will test you until the end of time to make sure you're the man you say you are and appear to be. Women are attracted to stability. Her biological make up and psychological state will determine what that in her choices of men. The control is really up to us, some men just can't figure that out. They let their guard down and allow weakness to show. Once she senses weakness it opens her back up to be open to other prospects. Never allow a woman to gain the psychological upper hand on you or you'll be in for nothing but being her puppet. This doesn't mean be an asshole or jerk, this means maintain your composure and self respect. That's where your strength really shines.

I read a study on this and in order women apparently look for the following, again note the order. 1. Good genes. (Symmetry, handsomeness, etc.) 2. Good producer (Income) 3. Good father 4. Good partner The key to all the above as a man is to maximize expression of all the above to the best of your ability. So for example a super good looking guy who is a millionaire and is great with kids and a great partner is at the highest level of attractiveness to women. The study goes on to say for men we typically just look for youth and beauty in women. Hope this helps.

I have seen people who have simpler minds truly find love in each other, and live/raise a beautiful family together. In the drive of intellectual curiosity, we are messing our Psychological structures and it will start to feel that no body deserves you or vise versa and start to live alone. Nothing wrong living alone but having physical intimacy on a non committal basis is still a relationship and that doesn't mean living alone. I understood that being sincere to oneself first is very important, working towards being simpler by appreciating life around us is the starting point.
@iSuperMC3 жыл бұрын
I agree about us messing our brains up thinking too much and pondering every single thing trying to improve ourself and searching for something greater. The more realisations you make, the more you realise how pointless everything is and how little you feel in the grand scheme of things
@deepanjan.sengupta3 жыл бұрын
But the problem is the people around you don’t see things with that lens of simplicity. The more you try to live and appreciate simplicity the more you will be pushed out of the entire social scene. All my younger years I have lived the life of appreciating this so-called simplicity and not really having put much thought into each and every matter - friendships, relationships, wealth and career, and suddenly realised I have lost out on many counts in this oblivion. So what Jordan Peterson says is definitely very very important and essential to live a life fully.

"I've seen people who have simpler minds truly find love in each other, and live/raise a beautiful family together" Exactly. Its one of the reasons why marriages in developing countries are more successful than developed countries. Studies have also shown that in poorer countries, women value wealth more. The more developed the country, and subsequently the more financially independent women are, the more looks matter. People are more willing to compromise on each gender's flaws in developing countries whereas in developed countries women tend to be way more selective when it comes to looks. I've lived across many countries and I've found it to be true as well.

If being ghosted will destroy their emotional state, they are NOT ready to have a relationship or family. Plus most women do not have 20 men in their dms. You are talking about a small portion of very attractive women and of course she isn't going to pursue 20 men at once or split her time between them. How do you think the system should work, precisely?

@@fidassino4611 this is exactly how I view love and relationships. I either click with her or I don't. I can't bring myself to kiss a girl which I don't find to be attractive. Now a days its all just financially secure. Rest just follows. Most women will go for money but will later complain she's not loved. Being attractive and poor hadn't helped anyone either. As a guy u need to have or be 1. Financially secure/ stable 2. Be fit (being lean and good looking helps) 3. Have Game. Any guy could do it. Its just number 1 takes along time to achieve if your doing it alone and not family rich. All the best boys.

I can't say anyone knows exactly what other side is looking for in a mate I do know this everyone falls in to certain groups. These groups are mainly based upon symmetry as long you truly know yourself thus knowing the group you belonging life then you will do fine If you over value your traits then you will be alone and have a string of always falling relationships This is the bad part of natural selection being so heavily dependent on symmetry if you where to go to groups below your symmetry you will find that most people in those groups would want to mate with you even at a very high cost to them even if it meant losing life long relationships like with parents and friend or To cheat on their mate or even leave compatibility long term mates People confuse mating with the idea that is love when one has nothing to do with the other One last point people who desire control above all other things often drop below their level of symmetry to pick mating partners who they can easily manipulate, then to bend their will to the point they don't exist as an individual any longer

I just hate it how girls think we men have to amuse them , always have to keep up the chat. I was flirting with a girl at work, we was laughing a bit , talking , I just didn’t talked for 2 mins , just didn’t knew what to talk, or something, and the girl says: „cmon say something..“ and I was like.. „Am I your Entertainer?“ Sometimes we Men have to show Women limits again , or reality. It’s not our job to entertain them or being someone’s slave and try to please someone. Remember your Mans Energy : It’s mostly Women which really need us Men , they need somebody to protect them to give them that feel of security and some sort of Energy and so on.. Be yourself, be strong , try to keep your energy which you are wasting with porns and masturbating , do a bit sport, boxing ,fitness or something , read books, try to deal healthy with your fears and feelings. Build up something in your life either if it’s a resilient self confident Character and/or your Boxing/sport skills , or just the way you look at women and the world, and women is what will come automatically.

@ 4:27 - JP speaks of men selecting each other for dominance hierarchy. I find this to be an underrated & important factor. Even if you're skilled, competent and physically fit, it will be a non-factor if you can't get a group of men to allow you into their 'tribe'. You see a lot of men who 'fit in' but are lacking skills/abilities of outsiders/misfits. (the unskilled brown-nosers who are seen as more valuable than those who're harder-working but not in the 'inner circle'.)
