One of the most beautiful, classiest ladies ever to grace the entertainment business. She's still a honey. I'm glad she overcame the drug addiction like many of us back then used, if even for a little while. It was considered normal but those who have survived are some of the wisest and strongest people imaginable. Still love her !

I don't care what people say.. Belinda Carlisle is a Rock-n-Roll ICON!!! I have loved this woman and her talent for well over 30 years now! She has such an amazing singing voice and a style of her own, that nobody can ever take away from her. Many rock stars were known for their heavy drinking, drugs and sex in their heyday, so Belinda is right about rock stars living up to a certain image that was expected.

I met Belinda at a local night club She had just played Chautauqua .I did not know who she was and struck up a conversation because she was so beautiful . She loved it ,that I did not know who she was . She was so nice and so friendly . They came over and told her the band was ready for her ,I said oh your with the band ,she said no ,I am singing for my supper .After singing three songs from her new album ,she came off stage and winked at a flabbergasted me . 90's i think

Always loved the Go Go's, regardless. Each of them is human and, such, are not perfect. The 80s (which was my era!) were a time of rampant drug and alcohol use among not only bands but celebrities of all types. I am a reformed addict myself...I know how hard it is to recover. I can imagine how much harder it must be as a celebrity. Belinda and the other Go Go's were a part of my youth and I"m glad they were. I wish them the best.

Bryan Wilmarth. real come on theres bands today and the 90s that do drags and drink its always going to be there thats how it is in the music.business. most people who get in to music business has had a bad past maybe a bad home or something happened. to them. or born with. a disability. so music becomes there escape. and it helps them in life i could go on and on about it.

@@hopesavage2124🇺🇸The drugs and alcohol are there, but I think some people just get into trying something just to Fit In and then they get hooked. Maybe they are trying to escape, but escape what? They really should have enough common sense and dignity to just Say NO!

@@the.porter.productions You have NO CLUE Apparently about Drug Addiction!!! It's not about just saying NO! Same as other addictions because its easy to get addicted to many things in life!!! It only takes ONE time to become addicted to a drug that takes away whatever your going through that is painful that helps you "Escape" It can be anything any trauma etc ... As for me it was an escape of the pain of being Molested Gang Raped by 3 Men ... Child Abandonment with NOTHING for me and my younger sibs and many abusive relationships!!! it took all that away not able to feel that pain! I am clean now for many years!!! but I still have that pain! & Thank God I deal with it more healthily!!! UNTIL You have been through an addiction or any other subject I feel you should not speak upon it unless you have been there! I was very close to going back when I just lost My Father ........ ONCE an addict always an addict because you crave that drug of choice to take pain away! Through on and off bouts of rehab and relapse hopefully you do get clean many don't and many still suffer and just cannot get off their addiction! It's BRUTAL to go through addiction and brutal to get through it with rehab! I had to relearn my motor skills and took over a year to get them back and my "Brain" to cope with being so sedated for so many years it was where my body and brain were in "SHOCK" You can't think You can't SLEEP.... You body is relearning all these things your organ's are not working properly you have to walk walk walk for your heart and all your organs to work properly drink water every hour to flush all the chemicals.... So just saying NO is easy for you to say if you have never been addicted to drugs

@@tonyarenee531 🇺🇸 I do understand addiction. I saw it as a kid and I knew then that it wasn’t a path for me. I’ve seen it kill people, cause them to do things they wouldn’t normally do and ultimately destroy many lives. Some drugs are very easily addictive. I’ve been shot at, ganged up on & cut open. I’ve seen some things in life that would’ve lead me into drugs and gangs, but by the grace of God, I usually had at least one person to show me love and direction. I don’t totally agree that once an addict always an addict. We DO have choices, some of them are HARD to make though. Music was an escape for me. I can really relate to some degree, more than what you think, but just because I can’t entirely relate doesn’t mean that I don’t care. I do have a big heart and I hate seeing people being hurt. I don’t understand why we have to go through certain things in life, but it doesn’t have to determine who we have to be. I DON’T belittle anything you’ve experienced or even still going through. I want you to be encouraged, with all my heart! Blessings!✌️

I do know though once your addicted to something your always addicted meaning drugs alcohol chemicals I am saying its the chemical your addicted to I still to this day crave drugs! It's a fight and rehab told me it would be the rest of my life! but too I am strong enough to fight the addiction! so many times I crave that feeling and to be honest I am still addicted to one but my doc is helping me by weaning me off of it that's how I got addicted doctors feeding me these pills but this doc is all about helping me get off and slowly I am I as on 4 different benzo's opiates but now very low dose of a benzo so all I know is I am sick of being on these fuckers even with how they take away everything! Speaking from experience myself... the addict always knows they are addicted. They might be hiding from it, pretending they are OK, but in the few short moments when they look at themselves honestly, they know the truth. Also, the people close to an addict will lie to themselves just as much, not wanting to admit that the person they love or respect or depend on is broken and needs help beyond what they can provide. Ultimately that's what addictions are about: maintaining deeply-rooted seemingly-important delusions for as long as you can, at any cost. But out of everyone involved, the addict always knows the truth.

People are too busy putting singers and actors on idol stands but fail to see that they are Humans and have feats of clay. They are not perfect but they leave behind something for the world to remember them by. That is what counts and not their off-screen problems of which the world has no right to judge them by.

BELINDA IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD BECAUSE SHE HAS THE BEST VOICE I HAVE EVER HEARD AND IS VERY PRETTY. I WISH SHE COULD SING THOUSANDS OF SONGS, BUT I LISTEN TO THE SONGS OVER AND OVER AND NEVER GET BORED. BELINDA IS ONE OF THE GREAT SINGERS EVER. I ALWAYS WISHED BELINDA WOULD PRODUCE MORE ALBUMS, LIKE ANYTHING. IT REALLY WOULD NOT MATTER, I THINK THE SONGS WOULD BE A SMASH NO MATER WHAT IF BELINDA IS SINGING IT, ITS AN ABSOLUTE SMASH .
