The character I will miss the most is Phil and the actors know it. Ty has set the bar too high for a goofy, funny, kind and lovable dad, husband and son in law. Friends made me feel I am one of the friends and Modern Family made me feel one of the family. Love it and probably would miss these guys a lot.

It's him then Eric Stonestreet playing Cam. But not seeing him on film ever again would hurt almost as much as the fact that the show is ending after this season. My eyes honestly well up with tears because I watch at least one episode a day when I wake up to get in a good mood, and I've literally probably watched the entire 10 seasons 7-8 times if not more

And also the fact that Joe in season 4, 5, and 6 somehow grows up to be the Joe in season 7-11? They seriously look nothing alike, his eyes and skin changed colour. I get that sometimes your eyes get darker when you get older, but his eyes literally went from light blue to dark brown. He was also quite pale and then got tan, but it is just a tv show.

Because of the character diversity in the family I do agree that the show could've went on and on even to the point where the kids become parents themselves. This show is so well done, the way the writers are able to pull together all quirks and tie them together, its like a perfect puzzle.

Aubrey was just a baby when she came on the show and the they are talking about how young Ariel and Sarah are...they did not even talk about her. She is the only one who they did not talk to to or talk and she can talk so what in the world is going on? Ariel and Sarah might have spent their what teenage years on the show...but Aubrey spent her whole life on the show so at least she could have gotten a mention. I believe she was actually age 4 when she started and 12 when they finished filming, but yes, it's a significant portion of her childhood. This interview is heavily edited, so they may have spoken more than we see. In any case, that skit was hilarious and clever that they did in which they were themselves on set pretending that Aubrey really was the "mean" cast member. She was really young in that one too.

i love Julie Bowen the most. her role reminds me of my dad as the role is very much ground to reality, very loving still knows what's is necessary and is not afraid to be strict when needed, her role gets lots of criticism for beign let fun or controlling and so on but often i found it to be funny as people dont recognize the value of the role before the person is lost. in one episode it portraited very nicely where Phil and Claire exchange their role as Claire gets upset for always being in the position to say no. in that end of that episode phil says something like, i dont like to be you when she says in reply nobody does. after my father passed away and i watched that i feel like that's very simple but very much truth.

All the characters are likeable and so you root for all of them its so hard to pick my favourite characters as they all have great moments but if I was to I would pick Mitch and Cam best. Great show with a fantastic cast! Sitcoms of this calibre are hard to come by these days. The chemistry and likability was there from the get go. The cast made it easy to watch and had you coming back time and time again; they really made this show what it was; they provided the magic. The writing grew increasingly lazy as the show went on, but there was still moments of brilliant writing peppered throughout the final 7 or 6 season. I will miss every character, just as another comment said, they really made you feel like a part of the family. But I have to single out Ty Burrell as Phil, Eric Stonestreet as Cam, Sofia Vergara as Gloria, and especially Ed O’Neill as Jay - one of the great sitcom performances imo. Throughout the 11 seasons Jay was funny, grumpy, kind, tough, loveable, and relatable. He was the backbone of this show. Thank you Modern Family 🧡 I will miss this show dearly.
