Explain to me why after nearly 100 years of Oscars Awards that there still isn't an Award for stunt doubles?! Because there needs to be, and it is long overdue!!!

Except that stunt doubles don't do as much as work as actors in promoting the film. Don't get as much criticism as the actors on screen. Don't have to do as much reading and acting as much as the stunts. What equal recognition bs

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and governments faced the need to solve multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. One of the toughest: how to keep an economy going while at the same time shutting it down to protect citizens from infection. As some regions emerge from the worst of the health crisis, it’s tempting to think that there could be a return to focusing on just one main concern. But this week, McKinsey experts examined sectors, particularly defense and national infrastructure, where solving for dual "imperatives" is more important than ever..!

What people don’t realize is that main cast actors NEED stunt doubles because they can’t risk these actors getting hurt and slowing down production for the hundreds of other people working on the movie. It’s not because actors are too scared to do stunts but want to claim all the glory, its a production decision.

Even in his fifties, Tom Cruise continues to wow audiences by doing dangerous stunts. Still, he doesn’t go “all the way” in many cases; he does have a stunt double, whom he has worked with on several major action films including Jack Reacher and Knight and Day. Casey O’Neill is Cruise’s stunt double and takes over for the actor when something becomes a bit too risky for the veteran star to attempt.

a very interesting story. As oppose as commonplace thinking states, luck plays a big part (there have been many talented people who didn't achieve great success), but a sincere passion and self-belief come first, and you cannot be a total conformist either. In reality, no one who achieved great success, really believed they would achieve so much, but they didn't care: the reward was doing something they really loved to do, and wanted to excel at, a path to keep on. The success was a natural consequence, not an initial goal.

brie larson stunts interview before chris hemsworth No, it really all came out of ignorance, to be honest. I didn’t realize that you don’t actually do your own, most people don’t do their own stunts in these movies. I thought you did, and I’ve never been a particularly elegant or athletic person. I’m just an introvert with asthma and felt like I needed to be able to do that. I just thought, “I don’t wanna be on set, and they ask me to do things, and I don’t know how to do it.” So I started training as soon as I could, which was right after I wrapped, so it basically started right as I wrapped picture, I locked picture on the film that I directed. I then went into that, which then turned into nine months of training. And nine months of just training-training, and three months of stunt training with the stunt team. We spent two hours every day, five days a week. And it wasn’t until … everyone just went along with it, and was like, “Cool.” It wasn’t until we started shooting, and I started doing all my own wire work stunts, and flips and stuff that people were like, “You know nobody, now we’ll tell you, nobody actually does this. We just didn’t want you to stop. But now that you’ve kind of accomplished this thing, we don’t normally do this.” And I was like, huh?

Natalie Portman’s Black Swan Dance Double Feud Was Sarah Lane, the Oscar winner's dance double, really the victim of a "cover-up"? In an interview with The Daily Beast, Lane says yes-she did most of the dancing in the film, with no credit. The film's choreographer and director tell a different story, however. So? A guy, a tree, a tiger can play as taskmaster's stunt, but the story is not about the stunt. It's about Dreykov's daughter. Make sure you separate reality from the film's storyline.

What kind of last name is that? Jewish?
@Chavezoid3 жыл бұрын
Nope. It's not a Jewish last name. It's the American version of the German last name Geldmacher, for coiners, people that made coins (geld=money, macher=maker). So this Heidi Moneymaker is of German Christian ancestry. Heidi is also a popular German girl's name. And your last name Sherrier is also Germanic (Austria).

The movie sucked. I almost shut it off when she's holding on to the fat guy from the helicopter then in the next scene he's in the helicopter...the action sequences were just not realistic which made it bad.
@inigo22603 жыл бұрын
By saying that, all Marvel movies sucked then. Let’s pretend action sequences in Iron Man is realistic, Spiderman, Avengers, in Batman, in Endgame, in Infinity War. What an idiot. Who in the world expects REALITY in a fantasy action?? Even the Keeping up with the Kardashians doesn’t depict reality, how much more with computer-generated Marvel movies.

@madboyreadynow283 жыл бұрын
@@andicoco2318 Tony Stark is not a Super Hero but the Iron Man suit it. Hawkeye is a very good archer should be in the Olympics but is not a super hero. This is not that difficult. Bruce Wayne is not a Super Hero but the Batman suit makes him a Super Hero. Not on the same level as a Super man who was born with his abilities but a suit could turn you into a Super Hero. Do I have to go on and on with examples? Bruce Banner is not but the Hulk is. T'Challa is not but the Black Panther suit is although T'Challa takes a potion to have the BP powers. If Black widow had some really cool suit or something that gave her Super hero abilities she would be an amazing Super heroe but jumping on men's necks from the side and doing the spin to take them down doesn't make her a Super hero.
@andicoco23183 жыл бұрын
@@madboyreadynow28 As if we're forgetting that Black Widow's deadly combatant skills and wide array of knowhow in weaponry makes her head & shoulders above any Olympic level gold standard, but that's still not a superhero? As u say tho, Hawkeye and his Olympic level archery makes him a 'superhero'. Hahaahaa that's the funny part really. Eversince the Avengers have gone trendy in movies, the definition of a 'Superhero' have gone from Superman, The Flash, Mystique-like beyond outworldly power to what it is now with normal humans developing their power like Tony Stark or Clint or even Nick Fury, who are in the exact same position as the Black Widow. If you credit their "super suits" that makes them a superhero, then what difference does it make with Black Widow-- with her being injected with a biotech super serum making her an enhanced human being to her exceptional deadly skills beyond any Olympic archery crap, those things make her a superhero just like Tony and Clint. With the many forces of evil and alien robots that Black Widow has terminated, but still she ain't a "superhero" but Tony and Clint are? You could accuse the same to serum-laden Capt America. But no wait, capt america has his brains between his legs, so yeah you consider him a superhero. haha predictable.
