I have seen this happen more than I would have thought possible. I have seen young women whose fathers were nowhere in the picture while their children were growing up but the daughters still say "I want my Daddy to walk me down the aisle". If the mothers had basically abandoned their children as a lot of fathers have, the children would never have forgiven the mothers. There is apparently a double standard for mothers and fathers. I'm sure that the 1st Mrs. Jenner was nice enough to not speak negatively about Bruce/Caitlin. And as for the people who brag on how he was a "hero" and came from behind to win the Olympics, they need to see what Jesse Owens and the great Native American Jim Tharpe. had to contend with. Jim had all of his medals taken away from him because he played (I believe it was) baseball in the summer to earn money. He didn't compete in baseball at the Olympics because there was no Baseball Olympics but his medals were still stolen from him and he died in poverty.

That was an awkward moment. God forbid the truth coming out and people find out he wasn't dad of the year. I saw a recent interview where Kaitlyn's mom calls and she puts her on speaker phone. Many trans people don't like Jenner, that much is true. It has to do with the impression that he's overly privileged and conservative. And somewhat of a train wreck in some ways. Most trans people live in poverty due to discrimination and often, difficulty being hired. Many were kicked out of their homes as teenagers, after coming out to their parents. Their religious parents. So they see someone who has the means to do all this and not have to worry about ever having to work again, and get all this positive attention, and yea it's frustrating.

It's all recorded - he is one of the greatest athletes of all time. He never gave up until he became a true Olympian after previous losses. He has done much for helping the disadvantaged. He suffered horribly over his identity crisis - enough to the point of wanting to finish himself off. People need to let him be happy and support who he is. My talking point was that he was a tremendous athlete - possibly the greatest in his field. He proved that even as an underdog one could , w/ determination and hard work make a comeback as one of the greatest. This was inspirational to a great number of athletes. I was thrown when I first heard about the transgenderism but in all fairness this could not take away from his accomplishments. I hope he's happy. He is a good person. His children love him and have come to accept his decision which says a lot about them. When I was a young man I was intolerant of gays and transgender. When it was made known to me that I actually knew some of these people I had to do some soul searching. Then when we see what some of these children have gone thru ( suicide even) I did a major about face.

That Bruce's oldest four children would support him now says an awful lot about them and the mothers who raised them given that Bruce was absent from their young lives for years. I also feel for the first wife who supported Bruce during his Olympic journey when there was nothing for her to gain. She did it out of love.
