Let me answer the questions from Barnaby Joyce: Q: What do I do? What exactly do I do? Do I go to Benjamin Netanyahu and say stop? A: Yes Q: Do I go to Hamas... tell them to stop sending rockets? A: Yes To quote a fictional character, "It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends." Barnaby needs to read more children books.

First of all, neither of them are our friends or enemies, thankfully. It takes zero courage to wag our finger at them telling them they're naughty. There would be zero consequences. What are we risking? Secondly, not our concern, and nothing we could say or do would have any effect on the outcome. They fired some missiles at each other. A handful of people died. Back to business as usual.

I wish they'd allow these segments to go on as a full debate, Id watch it on the side even if it went for 3 hours ( I felt like all of them had som much more knowledge to share). And most importantly ABC needs hotkeyed resources, charts and states ( including ones that opposing member want to include, and which would get verified as well). that way a technition could bring up on command when someone broaches a topic and claims a cetrain number or percentage and others could better evaluate the weight of their position, or better argue things like " oh hey, but that charts title implies it only accounts for this group of people, and not all of this other stuff" with the current time given, All i get is peoples stance on a topic, which have conflicting claims on the data actually backing them up. the questions/ topics are predetermined before the show runs so it should be easy to have the stats and paper summaries to pull up. that way there might actually be a conclusion or at least a better understanding of each persons perspective and where their interpretation of data comes from. that would elliminate lies, and allow people time to see the data, Not that I'd want a blame game, but just a clarification and better understanding of each sides position. Im sure they all have their beliefs and backings, but they gotta show they're 'workings' I mena we were all told that in highscool math, ' you only get half the marks if you dont show the workings' right? that way we can better evaluate their stance, see the holes in one side, or at least better understand that the issue may not be black or white but infact complicated?. not that I agree with anything Barnaby said, But I have to believe he's getting his ideas from some sorta source, So at least show the source and then we can debat that, and through that maybe just maybe.... change some minds?

We have made great advancements with hydrogen but nothing viable yet , just like clean coal . But we have plenty of politicians and corporate cronies that are opposed to the viable sources like solar , wind and wave can only pretend their opposition isn't ideological.

@Coal Man - I think you're confusing what is technically possible with what is actually doable, coz you know - people. I'll give you an example, let me know if it's not clear enough for you: it's technically possible to introduce stronger gun laws in the USA, but, because of Americans it's just not doable. Maybe one day your grandkids will be living in a 100% renewable and recyclable future wondering why grandaddy's generation didn't do what was technically possible, or maybe they'll already know it wasn't doable coz, well, you know - people.
