It may be someone who knew the victim. The 17 stab wounds is an overkill.

Someone she met while staying there perhaps.

This is why you should never focus fully on one person

I so hope they catch this person one day. I was 25 at the time and had married my wife who is from Italy a year prior. I think of the life we've had since and it pisses me off to think of what that murderer took from this girl. We moved to Tassie and live close enough to Beaumaris these days that I drive through there occasionally and more often than not I remember this and its just so sad.

So very sad.. Don Jones, this was no accident. The perpetrator took a knife with them. And then they used it 17 times. *17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times 17 times... 😭😭 * that's how long it took to stab her after beating her up. This person had plenty of time to stop themselves. I agree with the other people but no. Please bring on more cold cases and leave the comment section open for leads

Whether or not the murderer is found that person will surely pay in hell's endless fire!

Sounds a bit like the same circumstances as the girl in Queensland.

Why are they even wasting their time and resources on this old case? What a waste when there's current cases that can be solved that need worked on.

Because her parents need some closure and the perpetrator needs to be brought to justice. Ever heard of empathy? This was a young woman on the trip of a lifetime at the beginning of her life journey and no one has he right to take it away from her. How dare you be so dismissive.

@@HellmanHonda100% and also because it could help solve cases like it. it could also help the police gain experience to help more cases like these. my friend Shyanne was murdered in April-May of this year (we don’t know exactly when she was murdered but it was the night she went missing or the following days, we will hopefully find out in the trial) and as well as the police did they could have definitely had more experience. Her funeral was yesterday and i cannot imagine what Victoria’s parents are going through. We are lucky we are close to getting justice but Victoria’s parents will probably never know.

What are you saying? That the more current a murder case is the more resources it should get? What logic are you following? Justice needs to be upheld no matter how old the case maybe. Absolutely ridiculous comment.
