Yes mainly for leather and heavier goods.

@@ABCSewingMachine i waa wondering which Juki model you recommend for leather watch bands, wallets and purses. I spent 1600$ buying a Singer and it leaves a mark on the front and the stitching on the opposite side isn’t that good either. I want a sewing machine that stitches good on both sides and doesnt leave marks on the sides of the stitches. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am borrowing money to purchase this second machine.

@@fereshtehabuzar6053 DNU-1541S (around 1800) made in Japan side load bobbin LU-1508ns (2300-2400) Japan top load Lu-2810 (2300-2400) China top load w longer arm. Any of these should do the trick. If not Sewing with heavier thread than T138 then the dnu1541s is a good choice and cheaper

@@ABCSewingMachine if money is not an issue what do you recommend? Id rather have a better sewing machine and pay more than look for a bargain. I made that mistake on the first machine and , unfortunately, it didnt turn out so good.
