This is a powerfully good series. It has a rawness and especially Guy Pearce’s rendering of character Jack Irish, who is flawed and plausible. The supporting cast are wonderfully acted, the dialogue is witty and sharp. Marta is superb, as always. I am sad that it has ended as only a few weeks ago binged the final season here in New Zealand.
