What do you know now that you wish you knew earlier in life? For the ABC’s Your Mental Health week, some familiar faces have written a letter to their younger self about some of the mental health challenges they faced growing up.
Designed to enlighten, empower and inspire their ‘younger self’ by passing on some advice from their older, and sometimes wiser, point of view.
From 5-11 July, in partnership with Lifeline and Kids Helpline, ABC will shine a light on mental health and wellbeing to help those struggling with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, bushfires and drought.

The more I learn about Anthony, the more I respect him as a fellow human being, he is a fighter and he is still battling depression to this day but he continues to spread happiness and make the world a better place in spite of that

As a lifelong fan of The Wiggles (and Anthony in particular is my all-time favourite), I teared up when I first watched this and even reading about a lot of the things he went through was a big eye-opener. But this was the best thing I ever heard from one of my heroes, which is what he was to me all my life. Now at 24 and dealing with serious mental health struggles, I can relate strongly. You're a legend Anthony, and your father was a wise man. Glad you're still here with us mate.

Aww, dude! I completely understand what you're going through. I also have depression. It's not a fun thing to be diagnosed with. Daddy only saw you as a happy guy who is smiling all the time.
