I haven’t brushed my teeth in about a year. It’s incredibly difficult for me to change my habit. Chronic procrastination is the reason why I’m struggling. I tried forcing myself to brush my teeth even tho I don’t feel like it many times but it honestly just made it hard for me to resist my feelings. I truly care about my teeth and I am afraid of getting periodontal disease but I’m struggling so much. It frustrates me that despite my awareness of the consequences, I still choose to not brush my teeth. So everyday, I try drinking water or drink those tea bottles that contain antioxidants and rinse my mouth as an alternative to clean my teeth. I avoid drinking too much coke or sugary foods. Everyday. I keep an eye on my gums and make sure my gums aren’t receding. I’ve tried to change my habit but I failed many times. I remember last year, I was able to brush my teeth twice per day for a whole month but unfortunately, I eventually relapsed. After that, I just gave up and stopped trying since I no longer felt motivated.

@@kiiiirbzzz like I said, I’m aware of the consequences but despite my awareness I’m still choosing not to brush. Not because I don’t want to but because I’m having an extremely hard time to create the habit. It honestly feels like if I’m fighting a drug addiction. Every time I force myself to brush my teeth even though I don’t feel like it, it feels as if I was trying to overcome a drug addiction by not using drugs. Each time I force myself to brush, it gets harder and harder for me to resist my feelings. Yesterday I actually brushed my teeth for the first time, I brushed for a second time today. However, I’m still not entirely confident because the last time I ended brushing for a whole month, only for me to eventually relapse. It’s happened to me twice actually. I relapsed twice so I’m not confident.

my dentist does cavities with a laser now and let me tell you, it's absolutely revolutionary. No novocaine injections required, much faster, and mostly painless (if you're hot cold sensitive like me you may have some sensitivity since they spray some cool water on the tooth while the laser ablates it, it can result in a brief flash of pain if it hits a particularly sensitive part, I just prefer to bear with it since the procedure is so short.) Most of the time however, the process is completely painless, especially with shallow cavities. I'd have a hard time ever going back to drilling again.

Bendiciones. Éxitos

bro im 28 and i have no cheek teeth on my lower jaw, all been removed due to tooth decay... im also missing few from my upper jaw( from the back and from the middle) so sometimes eating food can be annoying but i manage it.... get them fixed before its too late to repair them or you will end up like me.. im still learning to brush my teeth as habit... and i usually do brush them at least once a day but there are days when i dont do it due to whatever lame excuse i can think of... I really regret not getting them fixed before it was too late but hey i can only blame myself... I understand not all people have the money to get them fixed but if there is anway you could save up money or something you should definetly do it trust me.. I myself live in Finland where health care is free for everyone.. even if you dont have a job or any money you can still get ur teeth fixed because the government will pay for it.. thats one of the main reasons i regret for being such a weasel when it comes to ur teeth health care... i was depressed tho at the time and was using drugs heavily... i havent used hard drugs for 11 months now.. i still smoke weed tho... but anyways yea please get them fixed as soon as possible! trust me its worth it.. take care!
