My friends as u see dida has prayed and as he speek u hear of takbir behind him, so people pray in turns , maybe the land was not enough for all people. Secondly u cannot leave faradh and halal thing for sunnah, it is his job and he is earning this (looking for what his family will eat) It is just the way many people leave itikaaf in mosks which is very good then open their shops. Working is must, IDD prayer is sunnah.
