Wow, people calling her house pretending to be her or the kidnapper? That was weird, hope those people were charged.
@scarlet8078
@scarlet8078 5 жыл бұрын
@Ryan Smith If they were adults, they could be charged with filing a false report, making false statements to authorities, etc., depending on the jurisdiction. Unfortunately it sounds like it was a child "prank" calling. Still, it was unspeakably cruel. The vast majority of children understand right from wrong and such antisocial behavior by a child tends to be predictive of sociopathy. I'd be interested in knowing how that child's life has turned out now, and whether she's had other run-ins with the law as an adult.

There’s an infamous case of a woman being assaulted in the street. The attack went on for at least half-an-hour. Many people heard her scream but “ assumed” that someone else would have reported it. She was murdered. Don’t be like them. Call the police

Sounded like a botched investigation to me too. The cops didn't hear the information because their radios were on a different frequency. But why did they not find out when they got back to the station? they should have known they let a murderer go. The story that they escorted him off the property was likely just to cover their ass. They pulled him out and they headed back to the station while poly class and the murderer lay in the dingley weeds. Why did it take two months to recover this scene? They should have been out there the next morning going over it with a fine tooth comb. Cops are always covering their asses.

@@GorillaCookies I agree. I hope people understood that I quoted that because I support him. I like to use the quote “it’s better to put a millstone around your neck than to hurt a child and drown yourself in the lake. “ Cannot believe I left the drowning part out. “ Jesus Christ. “Suffer ye not the little children.” And I include any vulnerable person like the elderly, the sick, disabled retarded etc. or helpless animal. I use this quote, “what you have done to the least of my people you have done to me. “ I like the part when the hypocrites were told by Jesus I do not know you and they freaked out, saying lord lord, as he drove home they showed no mercy to the most vulnerable so in turn he would be without mercy to them. Their is another quote which supports the way the animals are created and protected too. Even if you don’t believe in Jesus those are good quotes. If we have these type of people that showed no mercy to their victims then we will show no mercy to them when they get their punishments for doing what they did.

What I don’t understand about this is: He took Polly into dark woods and left her there while he tried to get vehicle unstuck. Then police came and got him unstuck and guided him away from the area where the stuck vehicle was. Then the kidnapper drove around for another 15-30 min before returning to Polly. So did he tie Polly up to a tree? I know kids get scared in the dark woods at night but if she wasn’t tied up to a tree then why didn’t she start running the opposite direction of the vehicle? Was she blind folded so she couldn’t see? My family thinks I’m crazy for liking True Crime stories BUT shows like this has taught me a lot about abductions and I then teach my kids. Be aware of everything: Smells,sounds,count the number of turns in vehicle if blind folded,counting steps in your head,notice how the ground feels under your feet,tattoos,scars,facial hair,number of windows and if any are open,don’t let the kidnappers know if you managed to get untied and wait until you can escape, scream and yell if you can to alert good strangers,if your sitting upwards in vehicle try to look out window and mouth the words “help” or a crazy look to inform vehicles at stop sign/light next to you that your in danger. Try to leave something a finger print,hair,a piece of clothing,jewelry,a sock,spit or a lil blood drop,something anywhere you can to help lead investigators of whereabouts.Same goes for attacks too. Scratch the hell out of the killer so DNA can be found under nails,biting can now help to collect DNA too. Nowadays DNA can be pulled from anything. Everyone teach your kids as much as you can because crazies are everywhere.

I'm not saying it's okay or that I would stand by and watch someone be assaulted or kidnapped, because I certainly wouldn't since I've been in a violent relationship before. But has anyone here heard of the Kitty Genovese murder? That's where they coined the term Bystander Syndrome. About 15(some reports say 40 or more but that's been proven false) people, her neighbors, saw and heard her being stabbed on the street. Only one man shouted out for the man to leave her alone, no one came out to help her and she made her way to her apartment building, the killer had ran away then a few minutes later came back and attacked her again, stabbing her in her apartments corridor just feet from a neighbors door who looked out and saw the murderer standing over her body but he was too afraid to do anything and was drunk at the time. Every single person who said they heard her screams and did nothing stated they didn't do anything because they believed someone else must have already called the police or gone to help because they didn't hear her screams anymore. One woman, ONE, a friend of hers finally went outside to investigate and found her bleeding out in the corridor and called for people to call the police and Kitty passed away in her arms. Again, not saying it's "okay" but it's a common occurance if you haven't seen or experienced enough violence or bad behavior in your life to know to speak up regardless of your fears. It's just a symptom of human behavior that's been around for a long time. We know more now in 2019 how evil people can be and how to protect those who are more vulnerable, but it still happens just not as often. Long ass rant but the final thought is, people are overwhelmingly idiotic. Doesn't make it alright. But it's also not surprising to me at all that this happened with so many witnesses. Truly this will just keep happening until we're all so paranoid about each other that no one trusts anyone anymore.

Davis lied and minimized what he did....he had been stalking Polly for some time and knew the family's routine, he just hadn't been expecting a sleepover that night. He denied sexually assaulting Polly - the whole reason he abducted her. He made it all seem an accident, circumstance that got out of control. The fact is if he hadn't been caught on that second property, he was likely casing it so he could abduct that child as well. That mother was quick thinking in getting her child out of the house and driving away after the warning from her nanny from a call box.

He literally said the first 24 hours are the most critical, and within that time frame a missing child would already be harmed, or even dead. So how come when my daughter went missing they wouldn't do a search until she had been missing for 24 hours.. our judicial system is so broken. They protect these sicko's when they should be killing them. Sorry not sorry. I have no sympathy for ppl that hurt kids

TF is wrong with people making false calls to the family when a child’s life is at stake? How can that be a joke? Not only interfering with the safe return of that child but taking resources away from the case, reducing the chances of detecting the kidnapper, and therefore putting many more lives at risk as he escapes capture and continues to ruin lives. Saddening and infuriating to hear of this case; the kidnap and murder of anyone, particularly a child, is a vile act. And knowing that regular citizens chose to hinder the investigation rather than to help makes it all the more sickening. My heart goes out to Polly and her loved ones.

One of my former coworker's had a second job down the road from where we worked in Santa Rosa, CA. She worked overnight at a placement home for girls and one of the girls ran away so she called the police. When he arrived, he said it felt strange being in that area again 'cause he said when the polly klaus case was happening, right there by her job was where they believe he actually killed her and left some of her belongings before dumping her body in a different location. She didn't know about the polly klaus case and was so shook by this information and so she started researching that night. She was so upset from what she read about Richard Allen Davis that she actually wrote to him! And he wrote back! She showed me the actual letter! He said he heard voices telling him to kill and he just wanted to get rid of the voices. He was a creep and I think he wrote one more letter but my coworker was so creeped out, she never wrote again. Every time I hear about this story, I remember that incident.

@@albertawheat6832 So according to you they must get an easy way out compared to their victims? Do you know how painful , let's say strangulation is? As the pressure builds in your head, like a headache, you can feel the blood vessels in your eyes start to pop, your eyes fill with blood, some victims can see the blood in their vision. As your body slowly struggles for oxygen, it starts taking it away from your muscles in your limbs, these muscles start cramping, then your organs start shutting down, as your body tries to get oxygen from every part it can (a kidney stone is a piece of cake compared to this), organ failure is pretty painful, your lungs burn because they arent getting the intake of oxygen needed . It also takes some time before the victim actually passes away. I actually studied death's effects on the body, I actually know what victims go through, try going to a morgue or watch an autopsy of a victim. Maybe next time you want to be a keyboard warrior, you should realize some people have more knowledge on the subject than you do. Are you still ok with them getting it easy compared to the trauma their victims face? You aren't as ignorant as to think that lethal injections or electric chairs just start themselves right? Someone has to push those buttons, but I guess in your mind that is ok? Thanks for sharing that with us.

Millions of kids have sleepovers and nothing happens, your kids are at greater risk of dying in a car accident. Children are statistically in more danger at home with a family member than over at a friend's house. Seriously, "stranger danger" is much less of a problem than family danger.
