Summary: -Fatimah Bint Zaida Bint Qais(mother of Khadijah ra)is the sister of Abdullah's father and his mother was Atiqa ibn Abdullah Al-Makhzoomiya. -He was the only companion who was born blind and became a Muslim very early on. -The Prophet PBUH meets with some of the leaders of the Quraysh [Utbah ibn Rabi'e, Shayba,Ummaya Bint Khalaf, Abu Jahl, Al Waleed ibn Mughirah] to give them dawah. -Abdullah came running to the Prophet PBUH and shouted 'Ya Muhammad! Teach me from what Allah has taught you.' The Prophet PBUH didn't say go away but rather he felt frustrated(moved his two eyebrows close to each other) and continued his dawah to the leaders. -Allah revealed the first 16 ayats of Surah Abasa for this incident, admonishing the Prophet PBUH(not humiliating him). -It's a noble thing that we do dawah to the leaders but remember, don't betray your principles to do dawah to them, in the name of dawah. - Everyone in the meeting died in the Battle of Badr except Al Waleed(who died before Hijra). -Al Barah said "First two people to come to us in Madinah were Mus'ab ibn Umar and Abdullah." -Abdullah was not able to fight in the battles because he was a physically challenged person, so he made this dua "O Allah! Reveal my excuse." So Allah revealed this ayat: "Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled and those who strive hard and fight in the cause of Allâh with their wealth and their lives" (4:95) -Two famous muadhin of the Prophet PBUH were Bilal and Abdullah. -Abdullah, even though he wasn't able to see the sky, used to give the call to Fajr prayer when someone used to say ''It's out!". -Prophet PBUH appointed Ibn Umm Maktum to lead the people in prayer. -The Prophet PBUH appointed Abdullah 13 times as incharge of Madinah in his PBUH absence. -Once Umm Salamah and Maimoonah RA didn't put on their hijab when Abdullah came, so Prophet PBUH told them to do so, they said "Isn’t he blind", Prophet PBUH said " Are you both unable to see as well?". They said "No." -Fatimah Bint Qais(divorced Abdullah)was told by the Prophet PBUH that u can remove your hijab in front of him. -Prophet's wives were special so they were told to do so. -We should also honour Abdullah as Aishah ra also did so. -Abdullah comes to Umar RA to let him go in the Battle of al-Qadisiyah which is against the persian empire to teach the Quran and lead the muslim soldiers in Qiyam ul Layl. -Abdullah in the battle of Qadisiyah holds the banner of the Muslims, wearing armor to protect himself. At the end of the battle, he was laying down with the flag clutched to his chest. -Remember eyes are not blind, it's the hearts that are blind.

How ungrateful he is! 80:18 From what thing did He create him? 80:19 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 80:20 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 80:21 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 80:22 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 80:23 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 80:24 Then let man look at his food, 80:25 That We pour forth water in abundance, 80:26 And We split the earth in clefts, 80:27 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 80:28 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 80:29 And olives and date-palms, 80:30 And gardens, dense with many trees, 80:31 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 80:32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 80:33 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 80:34 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 80:35 And from his mother and his father, 80:36 And from his wife and his children. 80:37 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 80:38 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 80:39 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 80:40 And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; 80:41 Darkness will cover them, 80:42 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers).

Beautiful lecture but there’s a major contradiction. He says that Aishah (RA) was serving Abdullah fruit and honey “decades after the death of the Prophet (sws).” Then he says that Abdullah died in Qadisiyyah, 4 years after the death of the Prophet (sws). Which is it?

Who is sufi ? who is Awliah Allah?- If a shaykh cant save his lover or murid in real time then how can he be called as sufi? Why there is no Sufi like ancient time? why nowadays sufis just give lecture like scholar of theology but there is no real time spiritual power or madad to murid? Why there is no true spiritual figure who can change the complete direction of the murid ! is there really anything call spirituality at all or is it just illusion ? At least i cant see /feel any real touch of spirituality - still everything same suffering- Don't blame me if you are true shaykh then where is your madad? No offense at all to any one but it is million pound questions because end of the day we are searching for real shaykh who can transmit and transform ,who turn the ashes to Gold and that is called shaykh! Brother/Sister, may Allah heal your distress. But know that you can never ever find this kind of Shaykh you are looking for. He/She does not exist. Anyone that claims it is a liar. Know that only Allah changes - dead to life, ashes to gold, distress to ease. Even the Messenger couldn't As Allah said, it was He who turned the hearts of the believers. If the Messenger had spent the whole world, he wouldn't have achieved it. But Allah did it. Your Lord is Allah, attach your whole heart and self to Him. Drench yourself in His Words, then follow the example of His Messenger and the way of his companions. Then watch how you transform from ashes to gold and then slide into the presence of your Lord.
