As a Christian revert I found this speech very very informative and Spot on. I definitely follow in the footsteps of Islamic Jesus AS and not Christian Jesus AS. In shaAllah this is the correct path. Jesus tells the followers that there will be people from the kingdom of God who approach him and he will say to them go away I never knew you. They say to Jesus but we did miraculous works in your name, we cast out demons in your name.. I don't understand why christians ignore Jesus denying his followers when they try to put the power of divinity on him. Why do you call me good he would say. There is no one who is perfect but my father in heaven. He tells them specifically that he did not come to destroy the law but to uphold it to the utmost degree. If that is true that's true then God makes it very clear that he is one and only and that you should not worship anything else but worship anything else but him alone. Do not make wooden stone or graven images in his likeness. You will miss the mark and you will have strayed far from the straight path that all of the prophets and messengers brought to the table including Jesus himself. And that is, to worship God alone with no partners.

I was raised in the Christian faith. I love this young man! His talk was SO enlightening! I just have a question. I believe he is saying that Islam teaches the same things about Jesus as many Christians believe. He quotes passages from the Christian Bible, the New Testament. And he quotes them correctly. My question is, Why does Islam agree with the New Testament scripture up until it speaks of Jesus willingly going to the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world? I am not arguing whether THAT happened or not, but just wondering why Islam teaches those same things about Jesus, but stops at the point where the New Testament Gospels continue on to say that Jesus was saying that he would be going to the cross as a sacrifice for us, and also that he would be raised from the dead by God, three days later. Please help me understand. Thank you..I think Islam's teaching about him seems more logical, but I am after the truth. I am open minded enough to hear both sides. Thank you..

@Aysha Qazi I thank you for responding 🙂 I guess what I still struggle with is how do we KNOW if the Quran's teaching on Jesus is correct or if the New Testament teaching is correct. The Shroud of Turin seems to support the New Testament version of Jesus dying on the cross since the imprint on the Shroud, is of a crucified man who had a crown of thorns on his head, wounds in his hands (wrists) and feet, and spear wound in his side. The Shroud image has been proven to not being an image painted on, but was made by ultraviolet light that cannot be replicated. This would seem to suggest a resurrection of the buried man who's image was left on the cloth. How else can this image be explained?

And there are deafs and it is really hard for these people to understand fully what the speaaker means. Therefore , in order to gain the constent of the Allah subhana ve taala , it is quite a good job to convey the message of the quran or to be understood by more people. SO guys it is really aprecciatable for you to add eng subtitles at least.

As usual, another extremely informative and positive lecture. JazakAllahu khayr. Just one thing I felt, was that it would be nice if muslim scholars’ names weren’t mentioned as if we knew about them already. It made the actual statement confusing because one gets stuck on the opening line which was their name. Sometimes a hadith was mentioned, and since the lecture is meant for different communities, the difference between that and the scholar’s opinion isn’t always clear, and as to what could be considered more authentic. Maybe if in passing, it could be said, “according to the Prophet pbuh’s hadith, or as ....., a muslim scholar wrote,....”

Masha'Allah wonderful presentation. Just to note, the temple had not yet been destroyed by the Romans by the time of Herod. The destruction of the Second Temple took place around 40 years after the departure of Jesus (as). But point still relevant, that all of that political context, both before and after Jesus (as), dramatically shapes his life and mission.

this is psalm 2:12, if you read the original text, "Yearn for Purity, lest He be angry and your-way will perish when suddenly His-wrath will kindle. Happy [are] all who take refuge in-Him" (נַשְּׁקוּ בַ֡ר פֶּן יֶאֱנַ֚ף וְתֹ֬אבְדוּ דֶ֗רֶךְ כִּֽי יִבְעַ֣ר כִּמְעַ֣ט אַפּ֑וֹ אַ֜שְׁרֵ֗י כָּל ח֥וֹסֵי בֽוֹ). there is no someone son involved in this texts.
