Been loving this record for a long time. I heard Mr Ibrahim play at Carnegie Recital Hall in NYC around the time this came out. Wonderful.

Wonderful - I first heard this on a BBC Radio 3 jazz broadcast in the 1980s, and have been kicking myself that I didn't buy the LP at the time. Sadly not available on CD, to my knowledge.

This recording and unique jazz music Lp. (hopefully CD as well) is truly magnificent. Great music original compositions. Abdullah has put together a wonderful horn section and everyone is on the same page and in the same musical spirit. There is nothing about this music and recording that is less than a full and easy 5 stars. This is a MUST BUY.
