Personally, I think his childhood friend should have included his name in the letter to clear his conscience. There's still one more unresolved aspect of the story: her uncle and unstable cousin, who are still pursuing her. But I guess the makers are going for a sad ending, possibly with a last-minute reveal before a tragic turn of events. Let's see.

What she saw in kashif that she considered him as devdas. Fakhir was doing so many thing in front of her Where kashif did nothing. I am just not getting it what quality she was searching in devdas!! It looks like she just fallen for the name "devdas". Doesn’t matter who the person is but the name should be devdas. Idk what fakhir saw in gulbano. Such a dumb girl.
