The Christmas Wizard presents a card to Abed from his mother and Abed freezes unable to cope with the sad reality.
Season 2 Episode 11 Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas:
When Abed wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff and Britta become increasingly concerned about Abed's mental health and enlist the help of Duncan. They trick Abed into a group therapy session to explore his winter wonderland and unravel the truth behind Abed's madness as one by one, the members who don’t believe in his fantasy get thrown off the tour.

I love how the gang came back to help Abed against Duncan, showing that they really care about him. It makes me laugh to think about what they were REALLY throwing at him in the Study Room, likely pens and notebooks!

Duncan projecting his own bitter feelings and Nihilistic views about christmas onto Abed as if they were objectively true universal laws was messed up and I love it. In the end, the "therapist" was using his own personal problems against others, the very same thing he accused Abed of doing. Genius writing.

Pierce was a POS but he cared for Abed. He stuck with him at the very end, helped him visualize the meaning of christmas, and was worried for him when Duncan "froze" him.
