Their game plan for the 2nd fight was horrible, abel had a more capable fighter in golovkin than clenelo yet they still made it a tough fight. Golovkin wont ever look like how he did 10 years ago, because he got old, look at him. Probably both Abel and Golovkin knew after the canelo fight that the end is near, money is more of an issue at that point.

Abel was a major reason for GGG's success not only as his trainer but also his media hype man. He's the one who created the whole Mexican style hype and had people believing GGG was eager to face anyone from 154-168 but no one would step up when GGG was never that guy. GGG did him dirty cutting him out when he signed his big deal. It's no surprise though-- there's a Kazakh fighter named Mominov who shared the same amateur coach as his and he said when their coach came to greet him in the US and watch his fight, GGG didn't bother giving him the time of day. Meanwhile, GGG's new trainer changed his style for the worse. Also, Abel would have kept it real with him in the corner like when he told him he was losing in the Canelo rematch. He wouldn't have bit his tongue like Banks who didn't have anything to say as GGG played it safe in the trilogy despite still having power.

GGG should go to Abel Sanchez before he retired. Nobody knew who was GGG until he started training with Abel. Before triple G retired from boxing he should go to Abel and do one more fight

I love listening to Abel. He is so smart. I did not know he retired and sold his gym. Wish him well. Why GGG would bd such an asshole is a mystery but I’ve had a few hundred employees and over 30 yesrx learned that when they need you are great. When they don’t need you they give a shit less
