The "no smoke without fire" doesn't apply in this instance. Bipolar disorder distorts with a person's reality. So she might believe she actually slept with these men when it might not be true. I have worked with a client who during her manic episodes believed she was a princess and she would live a lifestyle like a princess. This includes buying expensive clothes and jewelry she didn't need. Wanting to be served as royalty. This client has filed for bankruptcy twice because her bank account was empty after mania.You have to understand some also become sexually active during mania. Sleep with people they wouldn't even look at on a normal day. However after mania comes the depression which causes most to become suicidal. Especially after they realise and see some of the things they did in Mania. So if this lady in question is off her meds and manic, then she needs help. She needs to be medicated immediately.
