Thank you so much! I know what you mean though, I have drooled over so many yarn in so many videos and created quite a long list of 'wants' and an even longer list of 'dream' level yarns. Life is short, I took the plunge to tick a few off the list this past year. You'll see me unboxing them this year since we didn't get to open them for the the last 2 months of 2023, but I did decide to buy less yarn this year and find a lot more crochet time and start using them.

I'm so excited! I want to start that project so much, but I can't. Not yet. I have others in front of it. I'm so glad you enjoy our silliness. I may have got one that makes me super happy, but there were a few nice yarns in there. I'm not mad at it. Right now I'm throwing all of my Aberdeen mystery bag skeins into a box and when we get the storage in and as we're adding in yarns to the database and putting them away, I'll go through and see what I'm keeping and the rest I'll put in everyone's bags in the closet and the rest will go into the wool giveaway bin. Hi Marsy! I love Cygnet Boho Spirit. So many lovely color combinations. I put a bunch in my cart from Wool Warehouse but I ended up talking myself out of it because I still have a similar yarn from Hobbii in my stash that I should use up first so I couldn't justify the shipping cost. I'm trying so hard to make more things from stash and not purchase as much yarn. For once, being so behind in opening up boxes is working in my favor. I only have a vague memory of what is in the box so it's nearly a mystery box too. LOL

Hi Laurie! 500! Yay! Thank you! 1k minis are pretty dang exciting and I do love those little things. Cute as a button and so many pretty color combinations. I am excited to start working on it and part of me wants to start it, but I also wanted to save it for Mama G's MAL month that she'll have as Rainbow... but I suppose I could get started because it could take a few months to work on it so maybe I could get a start. When I wound the 20g minis hanks it took me the entire day to get all 24 on yarn bobbins, so that alone will take time and weaving in all the ends. I'd knot them and leave them as a feature if not for the ends eventually becoming icky from washing and wearing. Since the yarn room and the yarn are such a mess right now, that's one of the few things I can get to, so I might want to start it early. I'll have to consider getting it started or waiting a few months. Much love!

I've only ordered the refill bags, not the actual jar because I've heard of the jar breaking in shipping. I intended to look for a pickle jar to put them in, but ended up going with different jars in the end. They are so fun and beautiful to store on display. Even if I didn't have a plan for them, I'd still want a jar full for the yarn room. Yes, I received gorgeous gift hanks. It was so unexpected and such a lovely thing for the Aberdeen team to add.

I was smitten with Juniper Moon the first time I had some in my hands. I have a long list of items I want so I'm always crossing my fingers for good sales. I was just thinking about how I should approach unwinding them. Since Mr. PJ's just got a 3D printer and we designed some yarn bobbins, I asked him to take the smallest one and make some half that size, specifically for the Aberdeen minis. Maybe I''' ask him to print out 10 and also try your way and see which one I like better. Thanks for the suggestion. You're right though, it will be quite a chore. In the next WIP FO, you'll see I dove into my advent minis and I spent an entire day winding 24 20g minis on yarn bobbins. I was glad I did it that way though.

Thanks, Susan! The winding! Oh, my goodness. I was rolling a few ideas around my head about winding them. I think I'll end up doing what I did for the 24 20gram advent minis and using yarn bobbins. It took me all day to wind up 24 but in then end I was glad I did it that way. These might be different because I might use every bit of it. Still, I asked Mr. PJ's to make some mini bobbins, half the size of the small ones and I think I'll start that way. Another person suggested just putting them around a jar and using it. I might end up doing that and trying it out first. Undecided but I'll give it a try.

The yarn room is a mess right now since we are moving in more storage and all of the boxes of yarn that need to be entered into the database, then put away. Plus, I'm planning to shrink wrap some acrylics that I have lots of to save some shelf space so we are just in the middle of a reorganizing situation so all of my yarn is everywhere and not together for me to go through and pull colors out. I wanted to start my gray, white, black cardigan for Mama G's MAL but the rest of those colors is all over the place under other yarn and it's too hard to get to it all now, so I had to change gears to try to make something for the MAL and that also works for Alie's Carol Scarf project. So, cardigans are going to have to wait until the yarn room is back in order... unless I start the 'Many Colors Cardigan'. That's about the only one that I can find all of the yarn for at the moment. Hmm. I was going to save that for a project closer to Mama G's rainbow MAL in the future. Hmm. Decisions to make.

It look me all day to wind up 24 20g mini skeins, so I should be able to do about 50 to 60 in a day. Another suggestion was to plop it around a jar and not bother with the winding at all. Woot, 500! Thanks!

Hi Tiffany! Thank you so much for joining us. Currently we're just looking at yarn together, sharing my WIPs and FOs along my journey to do more personal crochet projects (also called selfish, I guess) as I focus more on learning and growing in a way I have not in the past 30 years. I hope that will bring about some skill to bring the things I've designed in my head to a tangible item. We created the channel as a project that we could enjoy together and highlight our individual hobbies while we combine them at the same time. Mr. PJ's wanted to learn filming and editing as a support to his longtime hobby of photography. He even included some animation and his drawing with our logo and intro/outro panels. Most of my hobbies are fiber arts related but I also enjoy reading and writing. I am to explore more crochet and learning more about fiber, but I also want to learn to knit, and spin fiber. We are slow as sloths since Mr. PJ's has a pretty time demanding job and I struggle with time management between finding crochet/learning a new fiber art , life things, and channel admin stuff so, even though our journey is slow and we don't know what our 'bread and butter' type of content will end up being, we're just enjoying sharing and having a good time and hopefully one day in the future, I'll put out a tutorial. For now, we're just enjoying sharing our journey with the community, whatever shape that takes for now. Mr. PJ's says he's glad you enjoyed his animation and he smiled so broadly when I read to him that you shared his animation with your husband and son. Thanks for joining us and cheering us on. After 30 years of charity crocheting only, I'm just starting to get into wools and I'm going a little insane with my new passion, but at least everyone can get a good laugh out of it along with us. @@LlamasInPajamas13 I know that feeling, I crochet, sew bags (wallets, duffle bags, purses of all styles, messenger bags, briefcases, diaper bags and even just about every style of backpack, out of quilting cotton, leather, linen, cork and well, pretty much anything if it will stand up to being either ironed or my sewing machine will go through it. Lol ) I also write (never share) and I paint. My eldest moved out in May of 2023 and I am finally taking over his bedroom as my studio for all of it. I have discovered that my amount of storage doesn't meet the amount of crafting supplies I have and need. So, I think I will be having some destash sales. I also do charity crochet, I do a lot of hats and scarves and want to learn to knit. I do have a knitting machine, I need to figure out how to use it so I can make my hats quickly! Plus that, some yarns just look better when knitted, in my opinion. Well, I am glad to have found you and I'll be around to watch what you do and what you make! Oh yeah, and my time management sucks as well.

I think mine was the Unforgettable Gossamer colorway and the one I purchased for the friend was from made from the Cygnet yarn. I got them mixed up during the video recording. Somewhere, I think I have about 3 or 4 skeins of Unforgettable. I don't remember. I think it's enough to make a similar size to what I had on or a very lacey something or other. I'm happy with that. I wish Unforgettable wasn't discontinued, but at least there are some similar yarns from Hobbii and, of course, Cygnet. LOL yes, blame my 1k minis for bringing Aberdeens to a standstill! LOL, I fully admit to my craziness but I also knew I wanted to make a huge project, I'd probably need a matching hat, and I'm sure I'd also want a scarf thing from them so, I figured I'd jump in with both feet and go for the gusto instead of slowly ordering them 200 at a time and not on sale. June! Okay! Thanks for the super secret info! Haha! I just bought 8 more knit ones since they were on sale. I am hoping to get anything not mohair. I'm so sorry, I totally brain farted. I often brain fart on channel names or names or 'that one word' that I can't think of and often throw 'thingy' or 'whatchawhoseit' But look at Jim being the MVP. At least I know he's somewhat paying attention to my ramblings. I didn't bat an eye because I had sound justification for why that was worth it. LOL Nope you didn't miss any videos. I know i opened 8 knit and 8 crochet ones, previous to this box of loose yarn, which was odd. I think it's recorded but he hasn't edited yet. It was in the first batch of videos. All 4 recordings days to get through the entire pile will be mixed around as they come out because each time we record, the newest ones get put higher or lower on the list he name in order of importance. Most of the are just generic unboxings that if they don't come out, it's not a big deal. Some are more special unboxings like 1k minis, happy mails, and so on. Once he gets a good amount of the most important ones, I'm going to attempt a new type of video where I chit chat and crochet. Zero editing, so hopefully that will help him get some free time for himself or be less stressed trying to get two out a week. Maybe I can show a small unboxing if it's one or two skeins, something where I'm not weeks and weeks behind. I'll have to keep a list of things I wanted to mention that week since I might be able to mention more timely things. I received so much of that mohair yarn, it's unreal. I'll have to inspect it a bit more when we get around to entering the yarn in the database and start putting yarns back in the room. For now, I asked Jim to just keep all of the Aberdeen mystery bag yarns in one box, so they can be gone through and separated out to everyone's happy mail bags hanging in the closet. It'll be a while but when I go through that box, I'll try to remember to get a good photo and mail it to you so you can see if you want the mohair. It does say mohair but I didn't try to get a single strand of it to see if it looked like lace weight mohair or but it did not seem like lace weight mohair. We used to go up to Rockland, Maine twice a year and walk around the town and shops, eat dinner and head back to MA after. We've taken many day trips up and down the eastern seacoast and have been as far as Bar Harbor. I love Maine and it's rocky coastline, and the accent is fantastic. Yay, 500! Thank you!

Small shawl/scarf can be called a Neckerchief? The only gossamer color is one i have from red heart unforgettable. I think boho spirit has a similar color yarn but that's not sold in the USA.

If it were small, neckerchief would work, or is that always made of cloth? I'm not certain on the specifics but I always think of neckerchiefs as being small squares of fabric tied around the neck. I don't know if the definition expands to include much larger crocheted/knitted items. Yes, Gossamer is the colorway for RH Unforgetables. My 'neckerchief' is either that yarn or it's the similar colorway from Cygnet. The one I purchased for a friend was Cygnet, not Unforgettables yarn. I looked up Cygnet Boho Spirit yesterday and neither that similar one to Gossamer or the colorway of my friends is shown, so both colorways must have been discontinued? They still had lots of colors, but I'm sure they phase new ones in and out as all companies do. I almost ordered some Cygnet Boho from Wool Warehouse but I talked myself out of it because I still have some of the similar style yarn from Hobbii so I couldn't justify the spending until I finish off that yarn stash.

Nah, if they find out, so be it, but I'd prefer to be treated as everyone else who purchases a bag so the contents always reflect what others can expect if they purchase. I think that's the most fair and that's my expectation.
