Juan you are so lucky to get the novelty yarns. I would use them pfor trimming around the neck and wrist of a sweater . The blue/purple one would be great for the trim on a child’s hat. These places would crochet up fast so you would not have to use a lot at one time. Enjoy, Victoria

I must have ordered at around the same time as you. My four bags were very similar to each other. I also received lots of sock yarn and black yarn (same as your 3 brown hanks). Aberdeen’s mentioned that so many people ordered after a video came out. Plus it’s the holidays. I too am pushing myself to use all the new to me types of yarn. Let the adventure begin!

First box was a bust. Second bag/third bag I love love the brown fuzzy! You can do it Juan! Make something gorgeous with it. It will make a beautiful scarf. Sock yarn added to another yarn. Didn’t like the first bag especially gray white amigurumi type yarn. Fourth bag, brown was beautiful but myself not a fan of fine yarns. I like 4 weight and up to make the “things”🤣

The fuzzy yarns are great for trim. I love sock yarn and have made several projects- NOT socks! Red Heart has a little book called “Everything But Socks”. I made about 40 pairs of fingerless gloves with sock yarn. Used leftovers to make “Babettes Blanket”. The latter is one of my all time favorite projects.

I find sock yarn is also great for gloves, fingerless or not. I’ve done fingerless for my daughter who works in front of a computer all the time. I find adding the eyelash yarn with another yarn tones in down and makes it where I can use it. May work for you to try that with some of the novelty yarns

Even though you received the "crochet" mysteries, I feel that all of those yarns would be easier to work with on knitting needles. I have knit many socks, but I have never crocheted a pair. We'll learn together! Do not double the yarn for your first sock. The fabric has to come out very smooth so that it doesn't irritate the bottoms of your feet. But I have to say, once you wear a pair of hand made, custom fitted socks, you will be HOOKED. So to speak.

I would pair the lavender fluffy yarn with a Deep purple or Even a smoke grey and crochet a scarf . You may surprise your self and end up loving it . I was the same for a long time about fluffy novelty yarn. It has grown on me 😂 I watch all your videos!! I think you are so real and loving!! I love how you have such a passion for the fiber arts. Great attitude! I got the trendsetter star in all 4 boxes in the same camel color so I have to think of something to do with 8 hanks. My mom said it was because my name is Star lol. I got the Siam in the same color as you as well. I had sock yarn in each one too. I think the furry yarns are better knit than crochet but that’s just me. I did get 4 boxes (2 knit, 2 crochet) and 2 were exactly the same. I think Gary did the best (haha) but the value was definitely there, as you say. Opening a mystery bag is so fun! ❤

So what is funny when you opened the bag with the Siam yarn I was like oh I love that! And I don't like bumpies, but I was sitting here going that would make a gorgeous scarf or cowl. Greetings, that purple confetti stuff and the thick brown fuzzy stuff....use them as fringe or pom-poms. If you feel the need to actually make something with them, run a solid Red Heart or Caron one pound along with it. Same with pink things, combining multiple strands will tone down the color or type of yarn and make them more dealable. I have worked with yarns like that before. This is what I have found to work. I can share pictures if you are interested. Thank you for sharing your new experiences with all of us.

That fluffy yarn could be a fringe on a beanie or if possible fur on a cat that’s made first then that yarn added on top. Just a thought. Really good on gnomes hair or beards.

The fuzzy yarn looks like Tribbles from Star Trek get some wiggly eyes and glue them on it, lol. Just kidding, I love those kind of yarns. but your least fave is the one I like the best, that material works up nice, and it's so soft on the skin.

The hairy and fuzzy yarn is great to knit with. You can make great scarfs. They were really popular in the early 2000’s. I made a bunch of FunFur scarfs and they are, well, fun to knit. It would be a nightmare to crochet, I wouldn’t even try.

Get some size 11 or 13 needles, cast on 10 or 12 stitches ,and knit every row. Fun!
