Glad you had a good trip - was nice to meet you. Glad we didn’t know about the tick you found as we had to travel back up on the Sunday

You too! It was the clump of hair I found most disturbing! I would still go with them again. Hope you had a nice trip !

Such a cool journey! 🚂✨ The Caledonian Sleeper Train looks like a comfy and unique way to travel from Aberdeen to London Euston. I love how you captured the experience-it makes overnight train travel seem so relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing this adventure!

The food looked pretty good. Overalll despite the gross discovery it seemed like a decent experience
@TheTeessideTravellerUKАй бұрын
Yes I loved it apart from bed discovery! 😊

I did a bit of business travel on the train into Euston back in the day. Sometimes a first class upgrade didn’t cost that much more and the boss would okay it. The Virgin lounge was very similar. Just drinks, crisps and biscuits.

@@anpj2006 yeah it’s a bit more of a touristy thing these days. Cheers for watching

The staff were so nice , I didn’t want to hassle them. I should email the company and link this video ! I love the beard / mullet thing. New to me !

I have showered on a train a number of times... on Amtrak (though the shower in the bedroom is not quite as nice as the Caledonian... toilet is not quite as nicely covered... me and my usual travel companion call it the Shoilet room). Nothing quite like trying it on rough rails and the odd bounce and the door flings open into the room and nearly go falling out!
@TheTeessideTravellerUKАй бұрын
In a way I was disappointed the train had stopped moving ! Maybe I should have waited until it started moving again ! 😂

Dolid you notice the knocking suspension when you were in the club car near the doors? I find that the knocking is bad, both physically and acoustically, as it were. Being a wheelchair user, I have to be in the end cabin, near the bogies, and I find such frustrating.
@TheTeessideTravellerUK2 күн бұрын
@@DougPaulley to be honest I didn’t notice it Doug. But I was so excited to be on board, I maybe wasn’t paying much attention. I’d hope this isn’t always the case, if it’s an ongoing issue, hopefully the CS operations people would try and sort it out. Thank you for watching. Safe travels !

Not so easy to get the Scottish sleepers from the north east of England.i use to go over to Carlisle and get the Lowland one and come off it there.The Highland one is much more challenging as Preston is the nearest place and going north only.
@TheTeessideTravellerUKАй бұрын
Yes, unfortunately, they no longer stop in the North East of England. I plan on doing the Night Riviera from Paddington to Penzance some time in 2025. Thanks for watching Kevan , I appreciate it.

Ha ha ha ! You’ll be lucky FIA query. Percentage of scheduled journeys on this route get cancelled ? No dissembling please

@ ha ha ha: you would if you’d ever booked yourself onto the Caledonian sleeper!

Yes, it's wrong. Do you know why? Answers in the comments. When I were a lad, we tore up the paper to hang on a string for the shared landing facility. Even we knew which way round the paper aught to go.
