Simon, the UK has two sleeper trains. That one you have just been on and one to Penzance, on GWR. I travelled on the old mark 3 coaches arojnd 30 years ago in the opposite direction. In those days it was salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, in the days of British Rail and Intercity Sleepers. Looks like an improvement.

@@jamesk1806 there are two. Caledonian sleeper goes from various points in Scotland and joins up fully at the border and travels as a king train to Londo, and vice versa. the second one goes from Paddington to Cornwall which are both in England. Simon was on the Caledonian sleeper.

To pay £360 one way for a journey of about 350miles is ridiculous, yes you get a bed not a seat but still. Ryanair £20 to STN 1hr 20mins job done Easyjet £40 to LGW 1hr 35mins job done BA £54 to LHR 1hr 25mins job done Prices on skyscanner for April Remember if your flying for 9 hours thats a longhaul flight like LHR - LA or South east asia, can't compare that price to a 350mile domestic train journey lol And comparing a double bed on a sleeper train to an economy seat on a plane is a bit silly
@SelfMade71710 ай бұрын
@@charlesjay8818 Ita not silly at all. We all have different budgets. What's £500 to me might be £20 to you. You done alot of work for nothing there haha.
