Whisky.com reviews the Aberfeldy Bolgheri 18 Years. Aberfeldy continues the French Wine Cask Finish series with this limited edition. The Aberfeldy distillery is known for its sweet and mild whiskies. The 18-year-old first matured in refilled and reconditioned bourbon casks and then received a finish in Tuscan red wine casks from Bolgheri. This finish gives it more complexity and brings out the fruity notes of the Aberfeldy even more.

"Super Tuscan" is a category of Tuscan wines wich are made with Bodeaux grapes (usually cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot) in addiction of the local Sangiovese vine. in Italy the "super Tuscans" have been excluded from the regulations for many years because they are not traditional. Only lately are they having success
