I love the solution. I am an NRI and in 2024, I did 2 major holidays in India trying to show my daughter culture and heritage. Since we decided to go to rural areas in MP and Rajasthan away from the touristy cities, I noticed how poor is the standards of hotels and accommodation. I hope the state government do more to invite tourists not just to the 3/4 major cities but the heartlands of India where real beauty lies. We have low economic understanding in our country. Let me put all things in simple term: We trade with other country (most of time in us dollar - dominance of us dollar). What happen if:- Strong domestic currency - cheap import & expensive export (this things we don't want ) So now 2 option:- 1.Devaluate your currency and 2.floating exchange rate. (1 one lead to curreny war- in nutshell its not good for any nation) So we choose 2nd option (but here rbi regulate little things- for sustain current account deficit). In last- a floating exchange rate acts as an stabilizer of current account deficit. So when nirmala tai say dollar is getting stronger its true. Exchange rate don't decide how country power full its value decide. After some year when our economy become more stronger exchange rate will stabilize it self . I hope it will help u to understand.
