It's really amazing to discover the Nobel laureate in an altogether different role. Kudos to his culinary skill. Our pride boast demonstrates that greatness lies in down-to-earth simplicity.

Nice to see a nobel laureate cooking in a normal everyday kitchen unlike the fancy ones we see in all cooking videos

I love how experimental this seems, he has probably cooked this hundreds if times but this still feels very much like watching someone who isn’t sure how to cook teach a recipe, like watching your friends in the kitchen.

I make sesame potatoes alot but without the kalonji and cumin - too much going on personally with the spices but then again whole point of home cooking is individuality - there are no rules as such.
@sancharisircar70723 жыл бұрын
It's the same for me, was he intending to use Paanch phoron? (5 spices for bengalis)? Not sure about using kalongi, cumin, mustard and hing

We don’t get any shitty hing (spice) in the US. We get hing made in India. Wonder why he couldn’t get one

mishmash of potatoes with whole spices? too many flavors going on plus that sesame gives another dynamics to the dish.

Pomme de terre frite. Il faut de l'huile de la moutarde et des epices typiquement Bengali. Bon. Alors tout le monde doit savoir cuire comme ça. Savoir cuir des plats simple.
