When we were in high school we used to play hockey and there used to be radio commentary of India vs Pakistan matches and we used to get depressed on loss of Indian team. Pakistan team used to win most of the matches and we used to adore the game visualizing a match performance. There was no hard feelings or hatred for Pakistan that much as we are not aware of 65,71 wars. 2008 incident changed everything, I think. After repeated overtures by India after each terror attack by Pakistan turned a nightmare to think about diplomacy and revival of good relationships with Pakistan. Now the new policy to deal with Pakistan thro NSA seems to be working good and permanent. .

As a pakistani it's surprising to me that why do indians think pakistanis in general are obsessed with the idea of kashmir or it's common theme in politics for getting votes. It was a thing up till the 90s. Kashmir is now like a footnote. Not even the islamist groups now rely on the kashmir sympathy narratives. Those ideas and that generation is now kind of a distant memory for most of pakistan. All this can be very easily studied and verified by watching our media or our online content. Pakistani media and politicians now only use the kashmir issue as a card for geopolitics. It barely has any appeal among the masses.

We know that an area exposed to nuclear waste or explosion should be left isolated. Pakistan is just that. Not interested in Akhand Bharat with areas of such waste.
