a major drawback occurring in the present day "world of music", art, and any other creative channel, is an unexplainable perceived need to create CATEGORIES & GROUPINGS of said form, which of course leads to RULES, GUIDELINES, and PERIMETERS, setting restraints on any freedoms in their design. Considering this "genre", EGG PUNK, self-realizing and claiming themselves something unique and new is ridiculous. Following their own stated instructional make-up and description results in countless musical ideas, presentations, and releases from AT LEAST all the way back to early 80's, if not even earlier. For one to think they are the first to discover some certain sound such as 'lo-fi' or minimal has a lot of digging to do... What used to have a broad generalization like "alternative" has now been sliced into a hundred different labels due just to slower, faster, echoed, clear, etc. Just mentioning DEVO sums it up right there. EGG is punk, punk is pizza, pizza is food, food is feces, fetus is techno, and then super low-tempo, reggaeton acoustic instrumental micro-tuneless, or country music with ultra-reverb on the vocals is ....
