I grew up in the 80s. Back then, almost all horrorfilms were gorey. Even PG-horror like ‘Poltergeist’. That movie would definitely get an R-rating by today’s standards.

It’s been a LONG ass time but I *think* my first real horror movie was when I was 14 maybe? It was The Thing, and this was before CGI by a bit so it was as real to me as could be.

Great movie. Terrific story idea with a fantastic cast. Some have criticized that the trailers gave away the twist that she's a vampire, and I also felt that way before I saw it. Well, that's not the twist. There are actually two twists - which most won't see coming even though they're right in front of you the whole time - which Matt and Tyler hit you with back-to-back to open the carnage-filled final act. Make no mistake - if you haven't seen it, put it on your must-watch list. In fact, I'll think I'll watch it again tonight.

That little girl has a bright career ahead of her. It was sad to see that this movie didn't do better at the box office. But she nailed it. She was definitely the star. My wife and I just saw this and absolutely loved it and it was mostly do to her haunting funny portrayal of a ballerina vamp. And Kevin Durand as the large muscle bound Frenchman was pretty hilarious as well. The balance of horror, action, and comedy really made this worth the watch. But yeah, Alisha Weir is going places.👍🏻

It instantly reminded me of From Dusk till Dawn, where it starts like a crime thriller and suddenly you have vampire trouble. As a self-proclaimed monster expert, I just could not reconcile the fact that sedatives knock out a creature, but a bullet to the head has no effect. Other than that, I loved every minute of this movie! So much fun and blood that you can watch it over and over.

I would definitely watch repeated viewings and that little girl brought something unique to her character as it was difficult to root against her...i silently cheered her on throughout the entire movie and added a sense of realism as it pertains to her actually just wanting love from her evil father and kind of got it from Joey instead
