It was so touch for her to come out and sing that with/for us at the Pepsi Center. I feel very fortunate to have been part of that crowd to experience this. One of my favorite songs of all time. One of my favorite souls. This song has resonated deeply with me going back years to when I first heard it during the 2017 TedX when she and her sisters played the fully recorded version. *When I'm Alone* *When I'm Alone* is Dany's song... 15 year old Dany wrote this when the girls were at Berklee College of Music (aka BCoM) in Boston back in 2015 attending the summer session they offer(ed)... she got very homesick and also had a homework task to write a song... she hadn't any ideas, time was running out, and being homesick was devastating... she recorded a teary vlog about it... afterward she realized she could harness the emotions and pain she was feeling to write her song... i haven't heard what grade she got for it but many of us hope it was an A+... Dany has also stated several times that when she writes a song, it is from her heart and whatever emotions she is feeling at the time... so here we are enjoying this truly heartfelt song of loneliness and heartache... Pepsi Center was the final of three shows celebrating the band's 10th anniversary. Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Mexico City. Monterrey is their hometown, and as others here have said, Dany wrote When I'm Alone when she was a very homesick 15 year old. During this part of the 10th anniversary show in Monterrey, Dany broke into tears and had to stop playing for a moment. It's truly beautiful how these sisters share their hearts with us. Very special, and I hope we all remember that.

Great job! Dany is magical here. If Pau didn't get you with *Black Holes* and *Breathe,* Dany will get you with *When I'm Alone.* She doesn't write many songs, but this one is extra special. The whole band usually played it prior to this. The classic full band version is the one at the 2017 TEDx presentation at University of Nevada. They were almost 17, almost 15, and 12. Pau broke a stick; it landed on a cymbal, and she launched it into the abyss backstage, a few bars later. They did essentially the same thing at Teatro Metropolitan in 2022, and it's musically stronger than five years earlier, but the TEDx show is a must-see-TV moment, for other reasons.

Dany's connection with her fans is so pure. Music is hope and Dany shines so bright. This was a new version, doing it acoustic solo. The TEDx 2017 is how it was originally done, but I think the Teatro Metro version is the best 'full band's version. Dany sings the first part herself before it kicks off, she nails her solo and the lighting cues are truly special.

Yes this particular version is just Dany, her guitar and just a "few" fans. When I'm Alone is actually a rocker that has a ballad vibe to it from the debut album XXI Century Blood (track 7) so Pau and Ale typically perform this song with Dany. Story has it Dany was going through depression and was very homesick while away at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She was tasked with a writing assignment in class and this song was what came from that. Remember she was just a teen at the time this song was written. Why we love The Warning? They are so very relatable, and the love for their fans is as powerful as their love for composing music. As an aside. Ale, and Pau along with Dany were gifted I believe a total of 30K (each sister received 10K) from Ellen's DeGeneres show to continue studying music. Monterrey is the new Liverpool ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘💛💓💙

For your own enjoyment, since you've now already covered this song...You should check out the Teatro Metro version. The arrangement is different and it does include the whole band...For the record, I think this version from the Pepsi Center is the definitive version, and the one you should have done, if you are only going to do one. But the other one is different enough that it's worth a watch...maybe even it's own reaction. This one is so raw. Dani is on the verge of tears the entire 1st half and that really draws you in. These girls are really the best.

Hi Abi. Dany is not ‘Alone’ as 8,000 fans provide backing vocals. She is in full control of the hearts of the fans. The song has become inspiring. Magical. Check out the version of the song at the Lunario CDMX 2018 where they played the album Queen of the Murder Scene. Pau and Ale with Dany who was in character as ‘the Queen’. Dany had a fearsome, tormented look. Claw marks across her throat and hand. She sang the song slightly faster and with intensity. Dany also had a rare guitar solo. Ale like a wild child dancing with her bass guitar. Pau banging away. This one haunting and tragic, like she WAS alone. Both versions make me tear up.

The only thing missing in this beautiful acoustic version is Dany's guitar solo, one of her finest. 4:22 the smile, and the little head shake, she couldn't believe her eyes, or ears. But you'd better believe it Dany, you really are that loved. When she said "you are not alone, you've got me, you've got my sisters" was when I realized that the reasons to love them are getting way too many to count at this point. That guitar isn't just an instrument, it's a piece of art.

Dany has such big sister energy. I know you watched this after Breathe, so the contrast is very palpable. WIA struggles with anxiety that everyone has, but from the view of a protector, a big sister, if you will, so it's peppered with acceptance while pushing forward, because her energy is always geared towards others. In Breathe, Pau is able to indulge more than Dany, and it leaves the listener a bit desperate, for lack of a better term. I think we have yet to hear a fully fleshed out song from the handler of the other two rock stars, but I'm excited at the prospect. Love your reactions, always as honest as possible.
