I think about Markos voice and the clapping have others said already all, just a few thoughts fom me. I think when you watch live performances with Tarja you will notice that she performs as a lead singer and the band is just accompaning her, Floor is part of the band. It may also have to do with her replacing Anette midtour, as Tuomas said the band was in survival mode at that time. As for the clapping, watch Blind Guardian The Bards Song and Valhalla at Wacken 2016. The first part is only acoustic guitars and singing, with some crazy meter changes within. So the crowd gets totally lost but the guitars are always on time. I think you have only reacted to live versions from Wacken 2013 so far, keep in mind that all of the songs there were written for the two first singers, so when you think her voice cannot surprise you any more, wait til you hear Yours Is An Empty Hope.

They have in-ears, so they hear only what comes through the audio they choose to hear. They hear the croud only through the mics if turned to the croud. So in this case the croud clapping probably doesn't have affect on singing. This uis what I have heard of this.

You really like Babymetal, I see. Thats great. I saw them live here in Finland. They were touring together with Sabaton and our own Lordi. Babymetal had only one hour show, but I really fell in love with them. Moa is my favourite. It was fun to watch your confusion :)

Just remember, Nightwish is a BAND, not made for one. And everything in the performance happens for the reason. Floor is great singer, and she fits with Nightwish better than anyone else. At some point in this concert I think Floor ask sound guy to gain her microphone a bit.

Yep, add me in as another joint member of The Warning Army and the Cold Front. These three talented Canadians are yet another example of young bands on the rise. Yes, indeed, it was cold in that barn for the video shoot. They spent one very long day shooting a number of videos.

I know you said you don’t listen to the radio, but there’s a good chance that you may have heard them somehow on the radio whether it was in a store you were at or something. SiriusXM has them on octane all the time. As for the song numbers, they are on the display thumbnail. My favorite song from their whole discography would be the studio version of breathe.

If you like horror films then I recommend watching their video for their song VHS, it is quite bloody and gruesome but is an excellent song and very well done video. So glad you reacted to Freeze the Fall, they are a really great up and coming band and any support and exposure helps them become known to more and more people.

That ending with Marko and Floor belting together was magic in my ears. So I can't see or rather hear the issue. I have never hard two singers complement each other better than those two.

some of us TWA found them thru a The Warning Evolve cover and we stayed for their originals. If they are this good starting out i am excited for whats next. We call ourselves Cold Front and have been fortunate enough to have the band backing our comments when a reactor shows interest, as you found out. VHS is a horror movie based music vid, just a warning in case your not into a little gore and no band members were hurt in the filming. there is an audio only version if you prefer. Cold Front forming, good thing the music is hot !

That voice was Marko! Long white hair and beard - Marko Hietala. Marko recently said that the "Marco" spelling he used for Nightwish was the last lie that he told to himself. The videos were shot before the production of the audio was completed so they did not know exactly where the backing vocals were going to be so Aria didnt sing any in the video

Hey!! Thanks for reacting! Super grateful for you! No lead song writer, we write everything together which brings all our perspectives into the music! Aria sings backup vocals! We all take music lessons but also do a lot of work on our own as well! And we have been a band for 2 and a bit years!

This concert was from 2013 and in 2020 ( I believe ) Marco left the band for personal reasons, and is now playing with his own band! I love listening to his band, as they have a definite Led Zeppline vibe to his own music...which I love! Hey...I am 67 years old and Marco is in his late 50's, so a little bit of Led Zeppeline's style is normal! Check out Marcos song, " Left On Mars" featuring Tarja...Night wishes first lead singer.

Choke was the first release off the Mayday EP and it clearly demonstrated that TW had gone next level (and their earlier stuff was great too!). Three years later they are much improved over that.🤘 Think the term you're looking for is Déjà Vudoo Child and with any luck they'll cover that next! 🎸🔥😁

I never think of Marko as a backup vocalist. He is a powerful lead singer in his own right and in his own bands. He just doesn't sing as much in Nightwish. For me I get the chills whenever he comes in to give us his little treats of vocal goodies! He is also one of the few people that can say HE has had Floor as a backup vocalist haha! When you get a chance watch the 7 Days to the Wolves in wembley. An extremely well done duet/harmonies by Marko and Floor. One of their best bangers in my opinion. Cheers!

You're right, FtF will likely answer your questions. The video was shot in an unheated barn when the outside temperature (at least) was below freezing, so we often see their breath. Not sure about harmonizing, but I do believe they use doubling in the studio version. Aria on bass sings backing when performing live. FtF has covered a couple Warning songs.
