You can do it cheaper depending where you stay, check the hotels etc and take into account that several months before januari it is already difficult to find available accomodation due to the large number of tourists coming for the voodoo festival on the 10th of januari. I advice to take a local guide, and travel on motorbike with a driver if you want to visit the villages.
